Shapes up to be a major flop. Looks slow, and past it physically. 7 years in PL took its toll on his body.

Hazard was the best player in the PL for years

Also trying to annoy you. Salah and Mane were much better this season especially.

Hazard wasnt the best player for years in EPL.

Salah etc were better last two and others were better at points before that.

Hazard always needs team to play for him and is quite lazy on pitch and in training. Not getting that at Real.

He used to be the best dribbler in the Premier League, right now he seems scared to take players on.

Unfortunate with the injuries, but does have the drive to try and impose himself in Madrid?

He?s never been good at dribbling past players who don?t commit. He used to get a lot of space at Chelsea on the break where he would breeze past panicking opposition players coming at him.

Now he lost his acceleration and La Liga in general is a league with slower tempo. This guy?s strongest attribute is supposed to be his dribbling but imo he?s done.

Chelsea players used to laugh about his lack of effort in training.

That type of thing may have caught up with him a bit and less freedom in role at Real with team not built to suit him.

Spot on. Players like Coutinho and Hazard are at their best when they have space and they are surrounded with pacey players. In La Liga they meet packed defenses, and a slower tempo. They have to instill pace on their own, often starting from static situations with multiple opponents that guard positions and don't plunge in trying to dispossess them. They struggle to play when they are closed down by way of positioning.

That's interesting take but it doesn't make sense because AGAIN Coutinho was fantastic for six months. They just lose the pace or speed they had in their game and start struggling.

I personally think Coutinho couldn't handle it mentally. The pressure of being Barca player got to him.

He was fantastic because he was banging in goals from executions with low rate of success. That kept his confidence high. A bit like when Asensio started like that for Madrid than fizzled out.

Hazard can catch a hot streak like that as well, but in terms of profile, he is not the right fit for a rather rigid positional play like the one Zidane uses. He would look much better for more fluid systems like the ones Klopp or Pep use.

Might be early to say but as @te amo barca mentioned , it does seem that he lost a bit of acceleration and that makes it a lot of harder to dribble past players as he used to.
