David Silva

Good enough to start for any Madrid side. Only Barca team with Xavi and Iniesta wasn't accessible for Silva. Would have been close call with Toni Kroos though. Style wise, he was always closer to Barcelona, than Madrid. They usually go for more athletic, stronger midfielders.

Ozil had like one crazy season IIRC, 2011-12 or something like that, but his usual top level wasn't THAT impressive. Then he kind of took a side-role when he joined Arsenal.

Probably Silva, more versatile, and the 10 role was dying.
Surprised at your pick. Ozil was just so inventive, creative and unique.

Reckon he suited Madrid's counter attacking style a lot.

Those RM counter attacks under Mou were insane.

He had about equally many assists in each of the 3 seasons, 10/11, 11/12 and 12/13, so his form was consistent.
