David Silva

I always like Silva and I wish him a happy retirement.

Time for this thread to be moved to the legends section
Class Player.

How will he be remembered?

He's a bit of a needle player like Iniesta albeit left footed. That silky artistic technician floating around the pockets around the number 10, advanced 8 and sometimes right flank areas. At Valencia, he was more of a proper 10. Under Pep, he evolved and his off the ball work really improved.

He has all those qualities Iniesta has on the ball. This pushes me to the question: In that well oiled peak Barca side under Pep, if you swap him in for Iniesta, do you really lose anything substantial as a sum of all parts? I really doubt. Open to differing opinions though.

Comparing David Silva (an elite player) to Iniesta (an all time great with a history of HUGE goals in CL semis, WC final etc.)

Only this bucktoothed :clown: would try to pawn this off under the "guise" of "open to differing opinions"

What the fuck no way

I don't rate him cause he was never good enough for Barcelona or Real Madrid

That's the bar for legend status

He would have slotted into RMs midfield no problem early 2010s, Barca's midfield was arguably the best of all time though, so difficult to hold that against him.
