Arturo Vidal

Paulinho did it just a couple of times before winter. Added nothing besides that. He was mediocre defensively.

Vidal isn't good at defense either because he just chases the ball instead of defending as a unit. And the less that can be said about his technique the better

Why do people want to get rid of this guy.
Gives 110 % and has a decent goal to game ratio. How many goals has he scored this season?

I guess because midfield is so shite now this Paulinho 2.0 seems like a good player for us, which he really isn't.
Scores meaningless goals and is shite in big games. Did nothing of note since coming here. Just a bench option who should be let go this summer.

Many people wanted him here 10 years ago. Ten years ago he wouldn't have got a starting spot in our team.

Comparing Paulinho to Vidal is criminal. Vidal has been an integral part of Chile, Juve, Leverkusen and Bayern. Paulinho exceeded his absolutely minimal expectations by scoring a few goals, the one against Getafe was particularly important.

33 year old Vidal isn't the player he was, but is most definitely useful to the squad.

Comparing a Paulinho to Vidal and even in declining is like comparing Deulofeu to someone like Messi.

Sure Paulinho was useful but Vidal is someone who had established Pedigree and was considered by many to be the best Box to Box Midfielder in the world for years. Paulinho had stamina but his positional awareness as a Midfielder was just tragedy and wasn't technically gifted with the ball but despite his flaws, he clearly knew what he was good at and it was getting into the box and playing like a SS kinda role.

Paulinho was better here and then got us profit. No one compared their careers.

Vidal has been a polarizing player here, Good performance and people applaud him, then he starts a couple of gamesand we hate him.

He is just a nice rotation/bench player to have.

Profit? Didn't we sell him for around as much as we bought him?
