Sure some players are an issue, but if every damn player we sign perform better elsewhere you gotta question the man leading the team.

EV is surely not good enough.
But again, regarding players:
Dembele=bad at Barca, bad in a French NT
Malcom=lol
Suarez=past his prime
Messi=the same
Busi=horrible at Barca, horrible in a Spanish Nt
Raki=past it
Alba=on a verge of being past it
Pique=bad at Barca and Spain
Roberto=never was good on any position etc

Basically, the only players who aren't obviously old and past their prime and about whom you could make a case are:
Frenkie, Arthur, Semedo.
And that's it, isn't?
I won't count Mina and Todibo as serious players.

But even with Frenkie, Arthur, Semedo:
Semedo obviously has huge individual flaws in the attacking phase.
Arthur is good for Brasil when he plays with Casemiro. At Barca, he doesn't have a babysitter to cover for him.
And Frenkie for now played in more direct teams.
There is a chance that a current Frenkie would need more time even under Pep in 2011.

And the only guy left is Griezmann.
Remember, I posted an article where the author wrote that his last season at Atletico was his worst in terms of attacking numbers and that he showed signs of a decline.
So, his last season for AM was his worst.
He is bad at Barca.
And he scored iirc 1 goal for France in the last 10-ish matches.
What if he is a system player who can play well only in direct teams?
Plus he is on a physical decline due to age and since he was a slave for 5 years under Simeone.
Remember that Arda was finished at his age, due to Simeone.

And what is left in our team, a bunch of unproven wishful thinking players like Alena, Puig, Oriol, Mina, Todibo, Wague, Firpo etc.

When you analyze our players 1 by 1, majority of them have drained bodies like Raki, Busi, Vidal, Alba, Messi, Suarez, Griezmann.
Others are horrible youngsters.
And then you have a few decent players like Frenkie, Arthur, Semedo, Lenglet, Mats.
Where majority of them objectivelly have a lrage amount of flaws.

And then, when we play matches:
Messi is a granny
Suarez granny
Griezmann, almost a granny
Busi granny
Vidal granny
Pique granny
Alba almost a granny
And all of them won everything and are low on motivation.

What is left?
Frenkie is playing his first season in Spain and is learning and adapting.
Arthur is still learning.
Semedo can't attack.
Lenglet is slow.

Now, try to look how many grannies play at City, Liverpool and similar?
Are their players more motivated?
Of course since Liverpool hasn't won league in 30 years.
They can't be complacent since they haven't won anything.
City the same. Messi, Busi and guys have 3-4 Cls on their backs.

For you guys who think that we have a good team bar Messi:
1. You either forgot how old, declined and mentally drained is our core
2. Or you have too much faith in players like malcom, Mina, Todibo, Firpo, Alena, Puig, Wague
3. Or you believe that Griezmann, Cou and Dembele are EV's fault.

Just imagine that you were a coach.
The only options are Dembele-Suarez-Messi.
Suarez sucks and Dembele is dumb.
What is the other option?
Dembele-Griezz-Messi, lol?
I won't even waste lines on Dembele-Griezz magical duo.

In midfield, what can you do?
Frenkie is light as a pivot and his skills aren't that good against parked buses.
Arthur is tired after 2 matches.
And what is left? Raki, Busi, Vidal.
In defense: finished Pique, mediocre Lenglet, broken Umtiti.

Should I even start with a lack of leaders and captains?

I mean, remove Messi and this team would end as 4th in La liga even under Poch or Klopp.
Or even lower than that.

Last quote is insane, even under klopp or poch. So, imagine if Klopp or Poch, have more then 700m euros at the span of 2 and half years. They would build an entire 11 capable of destroying this ev's barca, and include to that they would have Messi. Only an incompetent idiot can lose cl last year with that version of Messi.
Ev is a disease, and responsible with barto and co for this 1b worth shitshow.

Malcom is not a Barca player

With Dembele injured he will play most of the games. Lets hope it builds more chemistry and we can see more positives from him.
