We could go back to the false 9 with Dembele and Griez on the wings. But that'd mean benching Suarez.

So instead of strengthening our midfield depth by replacing Denis, Gomes and maybe Paulinho, we are buying another 100m attacker? Is it because they are not convinced that Dembele will succeed or they simply want to cash in Suarez early.

Arthur deal seems to be done.

If we sign Griezmann there's no way he's going to be benched, Valverde would pick him in the starting XI over Dembele everyday of the week.

That could turn into a problem IMO, which is why I'm starting to have doubts. Especially when Suarez is doing so well again, even though we don't know how long that will continue given his age and knee issues popping up again. I suppose you could profit off Griezmann after a year though if it doesn't work lol.

That could be how it goes in the short term. Long term, Suarez will probably be benched for Dembele eventually. Assuming Dembele develops as planned, obviously.

Griezmann will cause more problems than good. Simple as that. It's our midfield that need strengthening, Denis, Gomes, Paulinho arent exactly long term solutions. Busquets may eventually need a replacement.

Problem is we dont know when Suarez will reach his "end". And I dont think the board will just sell Griezmann whenever they like because the problem is not his ability but how do we accomodate him, since we already have Suarez.
