Coutinho has actually improved a lot at CM. I personally did not expect it, but he has been playing well from that spot.

The main issue here isn't the players, even though there are players who are an issue; the main issue with this team is the manager. He is significantly handicapping the team and it is beyond obvious at this point.

There's no way players can consistently perform under bad tactical situation. They just can't. Coutinho is talented, so he flashes. Messi is Messi, so he can overcome the issues sometimes. But you cannot expect consistent good play when your team is being managed so poorly.

see the beginning of the season: Barcelona was very good in attack with messi, souarez, dembélé and coutinho in the middle of the field. and then suddenly the manager decided to change tactics and the barca game became catastrophic.

Neymar relied on his speed and ball protection skills which is not entirely dependent on being strong.

Coutinho does not seem used to being a winger. Then again don't think he must play as a winger for Barca.

Its a mixture of lack of muscle and just not having used to playing off of shoulder, Neymar always leans against his opponents, thats his nature but not for Coutinho.
