He clearly should not be a starter.
He is too slow nowadays to cope with modern football.
And since Lenglet is not the fastest Cb out there, we cannot afford Pique.
Lenglet is miles better the last two seasons, and he is 25. If one of them is to be sacrificed for a faster CB is Pique.
Both Tobido and Araujo should be given a chance there, irrespective of what happens with Garcia.


PS: Koeman's 'revolution' is already begging to fade. OK, he can oust Raki, Umtiti, Vidal easily maybe.
But from the Amigos, instead of all of them bar Messi being kicked out that we heard some days ago, now it is only Suarez out and Alba, Pique still starting, Busquets still in the team

A massive revolutionary rebuild was always impossible. You can tell players to leave but because of the contracts, they are not obligated to leave. So the actual rebuild could take a lot longer. Getting Rakitic, Umtiti and Suarez out is a good start. The rest could leave most likely during the winter and next summer.

He's still a starter for me, but this should really be the season where he should be phased out.

I would only play him in difficult games (top 7 home and away games) and the rest Araujo should play.

Then evaluate at the end of the season.

Pique is not even close to Ramos. He's basically the Gary Neville of centerbacks. A decent player that managed to stay in a dominant team for a long time.
