It's almost like Barca wants controversy. You could almost get the idea that this is all a plan to destroy our clubs reputation from the inside. From the best club team in history to a laughing stock and one of the most hated clubs in the last couple seasons.

To be fair to gundogan and ozil, the use of the word “our” wasn’t that bad. Just because you’re born and raised in Germany doesn’t mean you forget all about your motherland and act like is not part of you.

They should have represented their motherland then.

It’s not like they don’t use “our” if they had a picture with merkel, they probably identify with both countries

"Our president". You cannot say that if you play for the German national team. There is no problem with their heritage and their love for Turkey but the personal words for Erdogan are something different. And Erdogan is not just some foreign leader but a dictator who has imprisoned several German journalists who did nothing wrong. Simply took away their human rights and threw them in prison.
It was a huge fuck up by Özil and Gündogan and how the handled the whole situation afterwards was probably even worse. Huge PR disaster by them personally and the DFB too.

Dude, the guy called German gov officials and press for nazis.

You cannot go, take a photo with him, call him for your leader and expect people to be okay with that.

If they are not Turkey citizens, how can they be their president? Shameful.

Especially since it's Erdogan who treated Germany poorly.
