The thing is that it could get ugly if he doesn't start showing something... He's young and the pressure to succeed too high, whether that is fair or not is a whole different discussion...

He is incredibly immature that's his problem. Makes foolish decisions every game which cost us on the counter or just loses the ball in dangerous spot trying a 1v1 or "crafty" pass. He needs to mature still. A lot. This will recquire patience, which not many fans have in this day and age.

It’s amazing how quick some of our fans jump down Dembélé’s throat after an average performance lol Sevilla clearly outplayed us and should’ve won. God bless Messi though we’re lucky to have him.
Coutinho was ok Paulinho played awful and i lost count on how many times Suarez got dispossessed or gave it away via an unnecessary back heel
Rakitic, Pique, Umtiti and Sergi Roberto hell even Iniesta were all worse but it’s so much more fun blaming this kid.

The criticism comes with the price tag. Even if that's not the case, I still think he was the worst player on the pitch yesterday, he wasn't creating or offering much going foward and was leaving tons of space on his side by not tracking back which left Sergio Roberto exposed for most of that much.

Unfortunately the price tag is dictated by the market and is not really somethin that you can hold against him. Roberto caused a lot of problems for himself by being all over the pitch someone needs to remind him that he plays as a RB.
And tbf Suarez Roberto Iniesta Umtiti and Pique were all worse than him imo

Pique and Suarez? You might not be correct. They despite having flaws played their roles.
Dembele had not had one notable performance other than the Chelsea goal. He's not being criticized because of being a young player.
