Champions league is only the icing on the cake. Winning the league proves you are the best and most consistent all year round. Last year real were not the best in Europe as they only really turned up for a few knockout games and even then they were the worse team against bayern who really should have beaten them with all the chances they had. Also only one of reals four champions league wins in the last five years has been backed up with a league trophy which is not good. Every time we won the champions league we also won the league proving without doubt we were the best in Europe all year.
