he's only 2 assists away from equaling his assists tally from last season. 8 more to equal his most assists tally in league campaign from 10/11 & 14/15

In January, Messi wil have an extremely good chance of surpassing his own performance he displayed during the first 25 games of 2011-12.

Our next 6 opponents are as follows:

HOME: Celta Vigo
AWAY: Getafe
AWAY: Levante
HOME: Eibar
HOME Levante
HOME: Leganes

And even then, if Messi plays 90 minutes in all of the six upcoming games, he will still have played 120 minutes less.

He needs to be rested for those copa games against Levante. Doesn't matter if he's played 120 less or whatever. Tiredness comes from playing every 3 days or so.

Im kinda choked people disagreeing with the statement. It seems kinda obvious that they (Higuain and Cavani) are some of the best finishers/(strikers) produces in modern football era. Are you trolling me or what?

Higuain is even in top 10 in the list provided by another user iirc.

But yeah its not Messi-topic, so maybe lets drop it. And agree on Messi abnormal finishing skills.

Most likely Mourinho will join back to Real Madrid next season after being sacked by Man Utd. Wonder what Leo thinks

Messi has scored: 637 times
And assisted: 264 times
Total = 901 goals + assists.
Next season we could probably witness him surpassing 1000, at least top three player ever with that amount of official goals + assists, if not no.1. No accurate assist data I think from Pele, Muller, Romario, Puskas etc.

He has always outstanding League and Cl Group stage Performances. Its time to show that in CL Ko Stage :worthy:

He did show that in 09, 11, 15 especially and other years where we didn't win it but he scored in the knockouts like last year against Chelsea

As it stands, i looked at la liga stats. He's still short of: most hattricks(cr7), most wins ( casillas) and he lacks 40 goals to became top scorer of copa del rey which is quite impossible to reach, but other than that he is owning almost every category. Just when you look at that it seems unreal
