Which team was better? Barcelona 2009 vs 2011 vs 2015

At minimum, 7 starters on that 10/11 team were the best in the world at their position, and you couldn't have found an upgrade for any of them given the style they played. A reasonable argument could be made that Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Puyol were the four best outfield players in the world...

    Pedro Rodriguez

Pedro in these oceans of space typically does quite well, especially with Messi going off like that. Could easily have won this by 2-3 goals or perhaps more. Considering, I'd say Suarez and Neymar were disappointing.

    Pedro Rodriguez

Nah, there's plenty of delusional fanboys who like Pedro. Pep, Tito, Tata, Enrique..

    9 - Luis Suárez - v1

..and after recovery. Ha an outstanding season for Atletico as well after leaving us.

    Angel Di Maria

Di Maria can play fantastically for 90 minutes against elite teams all over the park, something Ronaldo has literally never done. Scoring loads of goals for teams which dominate opponents by overwhelming, unprecedented margins in terms of money and squad strength is grossly overrated these days.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Good video. Worth mentioning that Ronnie was also a freak of nature where it comes to reading space quickly and passing. http://youtu.be/Ih8MRlVADUs

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Masch has been the best DM in the world for years.

    Argentina

Spain can. More than two players get involved in the final third, otherwise yeah Messi & Di Maria probably trump any pair of forwards.

    Xavi Hernández

So Courtois was shit/pointless and perhaps shouldn't have started against Chelsea? Xavi was, according to what was necessary, given a function which was a bit lacking in glamour and excitement, but his execution of it simply was not poor, which is still nearly always the case regardless of...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Sneijder was nowhere near as good as Messi in WC2010. Also nowhere near as good as Milito for Inter that year.

    Andres Iniesta

No he wasn't. Also, I've just read the past ten pages so a few comments might seem a bit late but have to be said.. 1 - It's crazy that he's widely rated as bad or mediocre at defending, especially when both the importance of positional intelligence in defense and his near-to peerless level in...

    Bayern Munchen

Yup, the second he shot he shoulda squared for Pique instead, neat 1 touch into the corner and it's goal of the season, especially considering the context. *sigh*

    Andres Iniesta

They do..and what mistakes..winning very nearly ever match we play even against ultra defensive sides? Any time Barca don't play at 110% of their potential for so much as fifteen minutes, fans act like the whole organization has been systematically screwing itself over for years.
