    Thierry Henry

Its almost like MLS has only existed for 18 years or something ;) The amazing thing about Henry is that even though he's clearly at the end of his career physically, he absolutely still cares. He still trains harder than anyone else on the team and gets more fired up than anyone else on the...

    Thierry Henry

He's pissed at our defense for letting up a very easy goal a few minutes before  He's literally screaming "Do your fucking jobs" as he walks back to the center circle.

    Eden Hazard

Didn't that ball boy turn out to be a spoiled little prat?

    Xavi Hernández

Henry and Marquez were both still under contract when they were released to join NY Red Bulls for free.

    Xavi Hernández

Definitely not the new Man City team. They do not play until the 2015 season and will likely be playing on a baseball field for their first few seasons. Red Bulls have a top class training facility and one of the nicest arenas in the league, not to mention his old teammate Henry.

    Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez was watching the first 80 minutes of the game as well, he should have known slipping was a strong possibility.

    MLS

Dude played 50 games for Vasco last season in all competitions, obviously still has at least something in the tank! I'm looking forward to watching him play. Of course MLS is a "retirement league" for aging Euro stars, its only been in existence for 17 years with a focus on VERY strict salary...

    Thierry Henry

Nice compilation of Henry's past season for us here in NY: http://www.newyorkredbulls.com/video/2012/12/20/thierry-henry-all-goals-and-assists-2012

    Alex Song

Only negative I can even pick out was that his spacing between Xavi and Cesc was too tight at times, but that will improve as he gets used to the team's movement. Disciplined positioning, some well timed tackles, and reliable in possession... can't ask much more for his 90 minute debut!

    MLS

Implementing an "academy up" system only works if you have a strong first team to build upon... trying to do so when your first team is in shambles? I feel bad for Winter, he did the best with what his perpetually inept front office forced him to play.

    Ibrahim Afellay

Both him and De Jong... two supposedly world class dedicated DM's and Germany's midfield ran wherever the hell they wanted all game.

    Ibrahim Afellay

Hate to say it but he was very poor today. A lot of it was tactical as the whole Dutch team is moving like a group of blind men, but his passing and his touch was awful.

    Neymar - v2

He thrashed the US defense pretty hard the other night, made a few of our defenders look silly. His movement looked outstanding though, he would have a lot of fun linking up with guys like Messi and Iniesta...

    Cristian Tello

Did I watch a different game than the rest of you? From what I could see, the only things Tello did well today was keep width, which isn't exactly rocket science, and make two or three good runs behind Arbeloa. Past that, what did he do to impress? He was beaten by Arbeloa in every 1v1, had...

    Rafael Márquez

You should see how bad San Jose fans are freaking out lol, they're acting as if Rafa stabbed the guy.
  17. iced1776

    Rafael Márquez

The ref made a mess of that game, but unfortunately he's made quite a reputation in MLS for his temper... He missed the first two games of this season because of an incident last year where after a game he pegged a ball at Landon Donovan, then tried to headbutt and punch another player on Los...

    14 - Javier Mascherano

No goal is all one players fault, Barca still had numbers on Chelsea after the give away. Bottom line is that Masch made a run to cover the near post instead of staying with Drogba when Puyol very, very clearly already had that space covered. Puyol even tried to point Masch to the back post...

    Etienne Capoue

I saw a tweet the other day that we were following this guy again in case Keita leaves, anyone know what he's been up to for the last few seasons?
  20. iced1776

    Pepe

Wasn't surprised to see him giving more lip to the refs after the game, what reason does he have to respect the FA? He can literally do anything he wants to any player and they won't even investigate...
