An inferior Argentina lost 4-3 in the last WC to France with a better midfield. But I am going to go Argentina 1-0 here with brilliance from someone out of a Messi assist. France overall is a better team imo than Argentina and will have more chances so it can go either way.

Ya ....I do not think it was neck to neck. Messi's run is far more impressive considering the current Argentinian squad....But Zidane had a far superior and much more experienced team, with the likes of Thierry Henry, Vieira mackalele etc.

Far better team than 2014 and a motivated Messi (hopefully that isn't an injury), hoping for Argentina to go ahead and win it... This has been by far Messi's WC and his best by a clear margin. I really do not have a problem with Busquets staying this season if he can accept a bench role like Xavi did his last season with us. He simply does not have the legs to play a high energy press which a 4-3-3 demands and hence should not be a starter in any of the major games for us going ahead...

Barto for a change said mostly what was expected, that he would get rid of the trash etc. But after this if he gets rid of just Rakitic and Vidal while keeping the rest of Busquets, Alba, Pique, Suarez etc., that would be very disappointing.

Ya he was a bit hard to watch in the final season after the winter break..But not even close to Suarez awful. He still scored more than 30 goals back then, also scored in the Champions league including the final.

If i remember, Eto'o got forced out by Pep (who had a feeling and then went on to buy Ibrahimovic instead :lol:), despite having a pretty good year overall as compared to Suarez who has been awful for quite a while now. Hell, he won a Champions league the next year too after leaving us.

I see Rakitic going and maybe Suarez as the best case for us while wasting the next few months again on some shiny new toy like Neymar. While the base of our system Pique, Busquets, Alba etc all continue to stay and stink up the joint.
