    World Cup 2022

Yep. All the more reason this is going to be a closer game with fine margins.. Argentina is a much better team than 2018 defensively, offensively they seem to better understand their roles around Messi and France is only slightly worse..Makes for a good match up..

    World Cup 2022

An inferior Argentina lost 4-3 in the last WC to France with a better midfield. But I am going to go Argentina 1-0 here with brilliance from someone out of a Messi assist. France overall is a better team imo than Argentina and will have more chances so it can go either way.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

imo France are a superior team to this Argentina, despite their offence having relative low quality offense decision making, but they still seem stacked with plenty of offensive options and a balanced team in general. The reason Argentina has a chance is because of Messi, and that can be...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

Ya ....I do not think it was neck to neck. Messi's run is far more impressive considering the current Argentinian squad....But Zidane had a far superior and much more experienced team, with the likes of Thierry Henry, Vieira mackalele etc.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

Far better team than 2014 and a motivated Messi (hopefully that isn't an injury), hoping for Argentina to go ahead and win it... This has been by far Messi's WC and his best by a clear margin. This Argentina has finally figured a way to get the best out of Messi and for Messi to get the best out...

    Sergio Busquets

I really do not have a problem with Busquets staying this season if he can accept a bench role like Xavi did his last season with us. He simply does not have the legs to play a high energy press which a 4-3-3 demands and hence should not be a starter in any of the major games for us going ahead...

    Ronald Koeman

Sure, i understand it takes time. But considering the clubs repeated failures over the years to sell past it players, its quite easy to jump to the conclusion that probably there is just more new drama from Amigos but ultimately every one stays, plays like before etc. We are almost a month into...

    Ronald Koeman

Why does it increasingly look like all the amigos are going to be there and be starters next season too? Its been two weeks nearly after that disaster and the club has not even shipped out any of them. :banghead: Worst case it may be possible that Messi leaves while all the other amigos stay...

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

Barto for a change said mostly what was expected, that he would get rid of the trash etc. But after this if he gets rid of just Rakitic and Vidal while keeping the rest of Busquets, Alba, Pique, Suarez etc., that would be very disappointing.

    20 - Sergi Roberto

At this point, no one is going to pay us anything substantial for anyone (except maybe Messi and Ter Stegen) ..To buy a RB, it would be more like sell 2-3 players or more. Although Roberto really is not the most pressing problem right now and can be a decent bench option till next season, but no...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Do you realistically think Barto is getting rid of Messi?? The guy who has been trying and spectacularly failing to get rid of Rakitic for the past few seasons ... The best shot we have is to hope he has the will to clear the other amigos out, at this point even Pique Alba and Busquets seem...

    Luis Suárez

Ya he was a bit hard to watch in the final season after the winter break..But not even close to Suarez awful. He still scored more than 30 goals back then, also scored in the Champions league including the final.

    Luis Suárez

If i remember, Eto'o got forced out by Pep (who had a feeling and then went on to buy Ibrahimovic instead ), despite having a pretty good year overall as compared to Suarez who has been awful for quite a while now. Hell, he won a Champions league the next year too after leaving us.

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

I see Rakitic going and maybe Suarez as the best case for us while wasting the next few months again on some shiny new toy like Neymar. While the base of our system Pique, Busquets, Alba etc all continue to stay and stink up the joint.

    Ronald Koeman

If he says any of that, we are screwed for the next season as well and more humiliation will follow:lol:

    Lionel Messi - v7

My two cents would be yes we need to phase Messi out but getting rid of him right now is just counter productive. He can still be very good with the right set up. But we need 10 hardworking players around him, not like-minded others who dont work hard either like Suarez, Rakitic, Busquets, Pique...

Hope this leads to a team wide clean up of most amigos...

    Luis Suárez

You mean the goal makes his performance slightly shit instead because otherwise.. I read somewhere he had 24 ball touches in total all game, of which 9 were because of the 8 goals Bayern scored and one for the kick off

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

At the moment, as long as he is president, we are just going to get a couple more shiny new toys while the Amigos are still there, maybe Rakitic gets sold at this point to appease the fans but the likes of Pique, Busquets etc. will continue to be here and continue the bad training/fitness...

    Arthur

The problem was not so much as not playing these, rather his insistence on playing the Amigos & favorites all the time (especially the dreaded and quite awful midfield) despite them being shit most of the time. It is not wrong to call out when the same starting 11 put out there by the coach...
