You want Alba in a 3-4-3 as a defender or as a winger? Because as a CB he would be a complete disaster..in Spain's NT he plays on the left Dani's role with Barca, with Arbeloa/Ramos as RB and that's why he looks so good, but at Barca he will have to defend more.

The only way I would accept Alba is if we would buy Hummels too, otherwise I would be very dissapointed because we need to strengthen our defence, not making it worse.

Yeah as a winger or a left back. The season is going to be long, hard and there would be lot of scenarios in which, changing formations and tactics are going to be very important.

Im not sure, if we would go for a centerback, because we are promoting Muniesa, who I think is very talented with the ball at his feet and is also very fast. He can slowly learn his trade now by getting some play time of Carles.

I think he's kinda like an improved version of Maxwell. His defensive abilities aren't that great, he's good at going forward though.
If Abidal isn't able to play next season we might have a problem at LB.

Perhaps I haven't seen enough of him, but from what I indeed have seen, he's very similar to Adriano in both skill level and playstyle. But as ammar states, it's ofcourse a huge problem, that Adriano is injured as often as he is.
Besides, I really don't get your point on moving to 343 next season, and how it would suit Alba? To me it seems like absolute suicide to play him in a 3 man defense.
