He was actually fine after his knee injury, the start of last season (and the end), plus early on this season he looked excellent. It's the muscle injuries that have set him back weeks at a time that have stolen all his momentum in terms of form and sharpness. And let's not forget every injury he's losing acceleration, which at his age is a nightmare.

I think he'll go at the end of the season, and with regular football he'll reach a good, but not world class, level once more.

no, it was utterly his fault. he didn't close down the man with the ball, and didn't close down the man without the ball. he just stood in no man's land, backing away, doing NOTHING.

I still do not think it was 100% Milito's fault. Even if he closed down, the other player could have passed right away and since Pique was too far up, it would still have been a goal. Maybe if Victor was playing, he would have saved it.

On the other hand, let us not forget that it was Milito's cross that resulted in the penalty!

I started watching the game from 23rd min and from what I saw till he was sub-bed, he was not bad. Its understandable that he lacks match time and all of a sudden one on one against two. Seriously cudn ve done any better I think?
