Lionel Messi - v7

Doubt he goes to play in New York.

For weather/tax reasons/Spanish speaking population all points to Miami as reported and already has a property there.

Weather is probably in NYC's favor given that MLS is april-october. I could see Leo enjoying NYC like Pep did during his year off.

Maybe he goes to play in Alabama, Oklahoma or Texas. Do they have soccer teams out there? In Texas, he doesn't even need to learn English. He could do with Spanish just fine. :coffee:.

If he doesn't want to be recognized, Alabama or Oklahoma could work. I wouldn't recommend those types of places though.

No way in hell. Miami is the perfect location for him if he wants to play in the US. Lots of South Americans that live there, lots of flights to buenos aires, nearly everyone speaks Spanish, and good weather. NYC is another good option but i don't think Leo's family would like the cold. CA is probably out because CR7 has hinted that he does want to be in LA in the near future.

Would be interesting seeing the Messi/CR7 rivalry extend to the States. I have no doubt either would absolutely dismantle the league at any age.

Who would even care? Its the MLS.

People would care from an entertainment perspective. From a serious footballing perspective, both have already made their marks in history. Nothing will change at this point save for a miracle WC which neither is going to get in 2022.

he had like 20 shots against 2 of the worst teams in the league and barely scored one, lmao dude really gonna struggle to score 15 this season.

Leo "10 shots per game" Messi is at it again

Jokes aside, great assist, but he displayed his worst tendencies on the ball today, even excluding the terrible finishing.
