When we talk about ranking players, we must remember that it must be when the players were at their PEAK. No matter if the peak was only for a couple of years as it was with say Ronaldinho, George Best and so many other yesteryears talents. CR7 will always have his number, his statistics and yes his trophies. But when he was at his best in around 2012 or so, was he amongst the all time top-10? Of course not.

TBH I for one like the list too as it makes conscious effort to evaluate best defenders at the same tier as the best forwards/mids. That said, Cristiano in top10 ahead of Platini is a no brainer. Dude argues it's about ranking peaks and goes by Platini's achievements in his best 3 years while choosing to ignore CR's ~10. I mean...
Well lets break it down just how Ronaldo exactly won all his trophies and scored all of his goals. All the penalties, the offside goals which helped Real to beat Bayern. All his no-shows in big games. The fact that he was always surrounded by the very best players in the world.

Watch 11/12 again, and actually watch it this time, and tell me he didnt have "truly amazing goals" that season.
No-show against big teams, what? National team, sure, not club level.
Also, you cant have it both ways with "best players", you cant have a majority of Barca players in your best XI, but then exclude "the best players" of RM from said XI, make up your mind.
