I won't blame the coaches anymore but I said from day one Setien is a shit coach.
Everybody who knows football can easily tell all of our mistakes in buildup happened because we had no outlets for three years to stretch the pitch. THIS is the reason we get pressed so easily with a highline.
You won't find better players than Frenkie and Busquest to build up. We lack outlets and always did since Villa, Neymar 14/15, Pedro. Instead we brought more and more creative players.
Not the coaches fault we can't sign the right players. Its on the sporting department. Segura, Abidal, Roberto. These guys alongside Bartomeu destroyed the club.

Bayern play with a ultra high line and presses hard which forces mistake in the buildup because we can't "get out". Only players who could exploit the backline were Alba and Semedo, two defenders LOL.

Shocking comment. How the heck do you deflect from getting destroyed 8-2 at home, in the quarter-finals of the Champions League? Especially when you're Barcelona!
We honestly should just forfeit the 2nd leg and just try to rebuild this team. Start by getting rid of the board and the manager. Then a competent board can at least try and get rid of the deadwood and start rebuilding.

Optimist going into the match. Throwing the toys out the pram after coming out battered 2-8 is justified.
Mate, I agree this cycle was virtually finished (in Europe at the very least) in 2017. I have been calling out this squad for what it is for years, long before I joined this forum. That is why I was able to appreciate the fact that Valverde was able to squeeze a few more domestic titles out of this entitled amigo lot running on fumes.
But what I have read for the longest time is that we had an incredible billion dollar squad, top 3 in the world, so many great young players with potential etc. That another manager can get this team back to the very top and for many posters it was *any* manager. Valverde is fired, the club does far worse and the narrative suddenly shifts from "Valverde was the main roadblock and the squad is good enough," to "I knew we were finished for years."
You yourself have drastically pivoted and I remember reading dozens of your posts praising the quality of our squad and how the "manager is responsible for everything." Don't make me pull up the quotes.
