Sure, in the current Liverpool tactics. Robertson is not a player who you take from Liverpool, put in Madrid/Barcelona and get elite performances from him. His performances are deeply tied to Klopp.

Arnold seems to be have more individuality to him, but he is also one-dimensional compared to the likes of Marcelo/Alves, who are as complete offensively as it gets.

How on earth can you tell that Robertson cannot play in Madrid or Barca? I say he can. He has the speed, stamina and is extremely alert defensively. Arnold has better crossing and more strength than Alves ever had and almost the same level of stamina. You are all grossly underestimating Pool players just to elevate the manager. Klopp was mostly a loser before this merry band got together.

'Klopp was mostly a loser before this merry band got together' This saved both of us some lost time with a useless discussion.

It's clear now. You have no clue.

What did Liverpool do during his first couple of years? Only when players came in, did results improve.

Lol, Arnold and Robertson are players who appeared from nowhere thanks to having a genius manager like Klopp in charge. Now you're telling me they are world class by being insane talents and Klopp is just lucky to have them. He's the main reason in their development. They are not undeniable talents that would've broken through under anyone. If not for Klopp, they probably wouldn't have made it, let alone be talked as the best fullback duo.

They aren't talents like Dani Alves, who was a fullback superstar before Barca got him even.

All players appear from nowhere. I thought that was self-evident. There is no magic way of transforming so-so players into world-class talents. Are you telling me that Roberto can be made a lot better by some genius manager?

Klopp was mostly a loser before this merry band got together"

Guess we we are just going to forget how he brought Dortmund to the CL final. Now tell me this Centuari how many players of that Dortmund squad still looked WC when Klopp left ?

"Give us Pool's fullbacks, and we smash regardless of manager"

Barca has fucking Messi and Liverpool still slapped the shit out of Barcelona , but Im sure Trentinho and Robertini would have changed the tide in that game
One more thing Robertson and Trent would be warming the bench under Ernesto "League Master" Valverde and half this forum would be calling them average players in those 25 minutes of playtime they would get in 5 months.

Guess some people need that 3rd bottle job to really let it sink in how garbage Valverde is.

It's all about Klopp, it's true. He's transformed average players into stars and has maximised the potential of the team. As for him being a "loser" previously, well that's just silly and demonstrates ignorance of what he achieved at Dortmund. He's almost certainly the best manager in the world.

He had a couple of good seasons with Dortmund, then Bayern's superior financial power translated into better players and that was it.

Messi, cannot win every single game on his own. Alba, Coutinho, Raki, Pique, Suarez and Mats shat the bed that night. Arnold, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum did not. And yes, if we had Pool's fullbacks and they have ours, we slay them 9 times out of 10.

This obsession with EV is not my school of thought, I don't like him, I want him out, but he is not the main problem. We have weaknesses in 2-3 positions (and I am being polite here) which we have not solved. They can only be solved by bringing in the right players. Players like those Liverpool have.

Regardless of how good a manager is or is not, you can't win anything without great players. There is no magic in football.

To be fair, almost every single team that wins the CL is tearing everyone apart at least until February-March.I think they’ll eventually lose some of their form, which means they are still winning the PL easily but they aren’t going to repeat in the CL.

it is astonishing how some people mis-interpret the club - they see that Liverpool has won the CL and is currently one if not the best club in - and thus 80% of their players must be outstanding/worldclass.

I do not agree ... These players developed in Liverpool, they form together a great team. Mane in Salzburg was good but nothing more... otherwise real, inter, juve, bayern, psg would have bought him - no southhampton was his next step before moving to Pool

Alision (coming from Roma), Salah (also from Roma), Firminho (Hoffenheim .de), VVD (Southhampton), Oxley-Chamber (Arsenal), Fabhinho (Monaco), Keita (Leipzig), Robertson (Hull), Wijnaldum (Newcastle), Millner (ManCity) , Henderson (Coventry), Matip (Schalke)

So the majority came from good/OK clubs - but they did no come as "top stars".
So my conclusion is they formed an excellent team - but I do not see them as individual excellent world class players (except mo, mane, vvd, alison)

Now 7 of the Liverpool players are in the BallonDor top 30 probably their "equipment manager" is also best in the world because of the CL win. hahaha

Klopp is more important to the team then any player on the field - they would not be near as successful without Klopp.

Valverde got Coutinho and turned him into crap in 6 months. Even if we got the whole Liverpool we would be shite in 6 months. Our team has so many problems. Motivation being one of them and the manager.

I was trying to respond regarding how untrue it is that Klopp had a '"couple good seasons" among other things , but I feel this discussion wont go anywhere if you think that EV isnt the main problem of the team. So let's just agree to disagree.

Exactly. Put Shitverde in charge of this Liverpool team ad watch the fun. Klopp had no budget at Dortmund and still developed players brilliantly. At Liverpool he's done the same. At Liverpool he's gone to the next level because he's had the backing to buy players. Guys like Van Dijk, Allison, Salah were closely monitored before being bought. Guys like Fekir were about to be bought and he canned the signing at the last minute because of Fekirs demands.
Klopp makes good and average players so much better because he knows how to motivate and develop them within a team framework.
If someone like Roberto, Todibo, Alena or even Puig was under Klopp they'd be much better players.

Name one player who Shitverde has developed?!
