If you work as hard as you can and you are 100% committed to football, you know in your head that there is 0% chance your opponent worked harder than you, then you will go into the field with a different kind of confidence, it makes perfect sense why after our picnic training sessions, not even training sessions since we have a "day off" 3 times a week, we go into a match looking like bunch of pussies, the CL knockout in a foreign stadium is only 3 months away, and it will be embarrassing to watch.

You just know someone like Lewa right now is working his ass off while some our player like Pique is in US doing his tennis business.

Based on what was shown in Episode 7 of the Matchday Documentary, he did at least tell the team to attack and push for a goal at halftime against Liverpool. Anyone else watching it?

And what did you expect him to say? Set back and let Liverpool attack without an answer? what's more important was his leadership and motivation skills. Did you see the players' reaction to his talk? I don't think anyone was listening to him.

It should have been like this:

Duh, obviously the majority of the blame has to lie with the players responsible, Alba, Rakitic, Dembele, Suarez, Busquets

It does end the myth that some people were perpetuating about Valverde that he was focussing on defending the 3-0 lead rather than adding 1 to put the tie to bed. But agree that he isn't much of a motivator.

Also interesting is that at halftime of the 1st leg, the players were talking about how they weren't used to the speed of a team like Liverpool. Suarez straight up just said he was tired.

I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool are using performance enhancing drugs.

They've basically used the same starting 11 2 years running with no signs of fatigue.

It is not normal and I hope they're investigated, Pep's city too

Even if city and Liverpool are on ped they won't be caught. The epl is the big money league ad UEFA aren't going to jeopardize any potential income. Both teams are considered the best in Europe at the moment and rightly so.

Shitverde has the team n poor shape both mentally and physically. Tactically he's crap too but that's another topic.
The epl is a physical league and that's why the teams put so much emphasis on physical preparation. La liga is a more technical league but it's beginning to lag n many areas.

I hope we meet City or Liverpool in next round but I feel some lesser side will probably ko us.
