Should be his last year in one of the top 5 leagues imho. He's ruining his legacy.

But, even more worrying for him, is that if this start to the season continues he is in real danger of dropping out of my top 15 GOAT list. As comprehensive a top 15 list as I have seen on the internet, covering all the era's of futbal.

El Matador Kempes is waiting in the wings to take his 15th place. 2nd best world cup performance of all time in '78.

Just curious: if he has a bad season, how will it undermine everything he's already achieved? If anything, he can only solidify his status as a GOAT contender (if he manages to do something meaningful).

He is obviously not in his prime anymore.

Surely no objective football fan in good faith can subtract from a player's his legacy based his performances at age 35+?

Are Iniesta's and Xavi's last few years a stain on their legacies as well or is it just Ronaldo you're going to peg on the all-time list for his performances in his final years?

Messi has obviously been the superior player over the two's careers, but I find the muppets that constantly find the need to denigrate Cristiano at every turn are usually the most insecure.

Come on lads, this is no way to live.

The same way I find the people that constantly find the need to denigrate other users on a football forum at every turn are usually the most insecure.

Come on man, this is no way to live.

Embarrassed for mt country, at the level of San Marino, should just abandon the sport to save the face.

And how much I hate this weasel for doing that cringy celebration after scoring a penalty against Lithuania, celebrates as if he knocked out Muhammad Ali, did the same against Latvia, then he goes and says in the interviews how "Iceland is a small team mentality because they celebrated when they scored against us".

Best 5 years for any individual player in the history of football.

We will never see anything like it every again.

It's like Michael Jordan with the Bulls.

Simply THE GOAT.

More embarrassing retardation in yet another thread on Barçaforum.

No other FIFA confederation have the same amount of cannon fodder teams for the top European national teams as UEFA has.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_goals_scored_by_Cristiano_Ronaldo

Anyone can take a look at that list and draw their own conclusions.

64 out of his 93 international goals are scored against "heavyweights" such as Latvia, Estonia, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Lithuania, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Hungary, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Korea, Panama, New Zealand, Egypt, Russia, Cyprus, Wales, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia etc.

One could argue that he has only scored a combined total of 9 goals against elite/top national teams in his 16 year old international career.

The definition of a flat-track bully on the international scene who fluked himself to the most absurd EURO win in recent memory, if not in all of EURO history to date.

If Messi had played for a team like Portugal for 16 years in a row in the same UEFA federation, he would have easily scored 20-30 goals more. If not reached 100 goals already (32 more goals). Simply because Messi is the better goalscorer (statistically proven ages ago and to this very date) and the superior individual player.

Unless anyone is in doubt of whether or not Messi would be able to score a similar number of goals or more, playing against some of those scrubs 100 times over the span of the last 16 years.

FFS Latvia, Estonia, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Lithuania, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Hungary, Northern Ireland.

In December Cristiano will most likely pick up his sixth (6.) Ballon d'Or to become the undisputed GOAT.
