So if MDL will really sign with Juve and he'll want to use a new law in his favor Raiola will probably drag this deal a bit more. :lol:

The Italian government is set to approve a new bill that will grant foreign football players important financial tax incentives.

Following the pattern of the law that was termed the Beckham Law, which was passed in Spain back in 2005 and provided wealthy foreigners with a significant tax allowance, Italy will decrease tax rates for foreign players from 47 percent to 30 percent in the north and from 44 percent to 15 percent in the south.

While the bill is expected to be approved on June 29, it may not be applied before January 1, 2020.

To make it viable this year - with the summer transfer window approaching - clubs will have to sign players as non-residents and do so after July 15.

In that way the newcomers will not have spent more than 183 days in the country by the beginning of the new calendar year and the tax deductions will be automatically applied on January 1.

Another thing favoring foreign players in Italy is this...

The way the new tax regime works is that Italian-sourced income is taxed at the regular rate of 43 percent. But any outside earnings are only subject to a flat tax of 100,000 euros or about $117,000. That is not chump change, but if you earn $47 million a year in endorsements around the world, as Ronaldo is said to do, it beats paying tens of millions in tax in Italy.

It's a common sense really. The highest paid Juve's player (That's not Ronaldo) is Dybala with an only 7m salary net, Juve average salary is 5.2m.

Now, why would Juve break the wage structure for a 19 years talent who isn't considered a world-class yet, with little media and commercial potential value in the future?

After what we saw with Ronaldo at the Euros and the way he is helping Juve build their new generation, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he does a Zidane and manages Real Madrid to multiple other CL titles.

Don't think I've ever seen a non-retired player show so many glimpses of world class manager potential.

Astonishing.

It is interesting that in the supposed contract offered by Juventus, there is a release clause. Would be a very good move for Raiola and de Ligt.

However, as it stands, i see that more like Raiola secured 3 good deals with 3 different teams (PSG, Barça, Juventus) and de Ligt will chose at the end. Will end Barça - Juve - PSG in this order.

lol Ronaldo did fuck all in convincing de Ligt. De Ligt might be going to Juve because of the 15m+ salary.

most annoying transfer saga this summer in my opinion....

the kid better prove hes worth all the hassle and news headlines devoted to him. he had a good season but youd think he was a world cup winner or something...after flopping with ajax and participating in holland's defeat to portugal im not sure hes as good as the attention he gets would suggest.

Where are those guys with sources confirming he will join Barca?

Make no mistake, if he is going to Juventus it is because of money, first and foremost. Messi or Ronaldo doesn't matter in front of the biggest pay check.

Was the same with de Jong but Barça came in with a last minute offer, like Juve this time.

Can't blame the player to chose the team that shows they want and value him the most.

If Barça comes with an improved offer, he will chose them.

It is good business done by de Ligt and Raiola to get the most out of his hype.

De Ligt situation.
Talks ongoing between Juventus and his agent Mino Raiola about the wage: €12M/season + add ons. There would be a release clause into his contract. But PSG are still in the race and made new contacts with Raiola.
