Well, him aging and becoming slower, should only bring him down to human-levels. ;)

Nice dream - prob wont happen. He has often claimed that his long career has taken his toll on his body. At times like these makes one happy with his walking, it will certainly prolong his career. And I could see him as super sub from 35 -38. Like a undisputed 30-35 min. player, as a 9 or 10. But 1000 goals? Wont happen. Ronaldo is more likely to achieve it. His body can be competitive on pro football (mls, china, france) till he is 45. Shit I just thought about I actually could see this guy move to psg after juve and still score goals in their shit League. A Buffon like transfer. Geez.

Btw do you guys think Messi will extend his contract, retrie pr move to newells?

In all honesty, if Messi decides to play until 2026-27, the Summer of his 40th birthday, I reckon he has a good chance of reaching 1000 goals - surely this would cement him as the greatest player ever.

He currently has 656 goals to his name, and the 2018-19 season isn't even over - there are still up to 24 games left. I believe that Messi will at the very minimum score 16 more goals this season, which would increase his tally to 672. Now, he would "only" need to score 328 goals to reach a 1000, but seeing as he would have 8 season to do so, I think it is doable.

31 - 2018-19 - 55 goals - 672

34 - 2021-22 - 46 goals - 819
35 - 2022-23 - 43 goals - 862
36 - 2023-24 - 39 goals - 901
37 - 2024-25 - 36 goals - 938
38 - 2025-26 - 33 goals - 972
39 - 2026-27 - 30 goals - 1000

Definitely possible. Btw you made a few math mistakes on the last ones 😂

The day he retires, I am going to cry like a bitch. It is ridiculous.

although I was young at the time.. Ronaldinho leaving broke my heart but now at 25, I can safely say i'll shed a tear when Messi retires. even if I put being a Barca fan aside, this guy is just pure joy when hes in the mood, I cant fathom how certain football fans out there can't enjoy Leo, I pity them

1000 goals is not possible. I know its messi but it still wont do.
800 goals is still highly possible. At min 750.
I reckon he would only play until the age 35 or so. Family man he is.

And on the side note, ronaldo said its harder to score in serie a

A veteran striker with medium level team 21
Ronaldo 19

had my hands on my head after that third goal. Even after more than a decade watching him play, he still manages to surprise me with his magic.

The issue here is the follwing, if scoring 1000 goals makes him the best then what about Ronaldo? Ronaldo will reach 1000 (99% sure on that )
