Is this the reason why we trying to get de jong now? It seems to me that our board wanted him instead of de jong but now that we could miss on him we are going for option B and that is de jong. I never thought we wanted to get both so i am not surprised.

Bayern will pay around 10m which will be discounted in his salary probably. He will still earn a lot. Plus he has the possibility to move now.

Of course this good signing.

Rabiot on a free transfer is a great signing by any standard.

These are the transfers that the likes of Bayern and Juve jump at the chance to make.

Also some people can't seem to understand that PSG actually wanted to keep this guy, give him more money and tie him down to a long term contract. The amazing, brilliant recruitment of PSG that signs all the best young players in the world actually wanted to keep this ticking timebomb. Lol what fools!

Right, except they didn't. Did they?

If missing on Rabiot means we'll sign FDJ for sure than: "Thank you Veronique for the dumbest request of all time!"

Your killing me dude   If the clause is true obviously I don’t want him but my point is that so many people are against this happening while pretty much any other club would take him in a heart beat. Details came out that Ramsey joining Juve is going to make him their second highest player behind Ronaldo. These guys moving for free are obviously going to get better deals as people have pointed out before.

I'm aware that the tweet is likely bullshit but the fact that Rabiot and his mother have a history on going back on their agreements is not something that is alarming to you? They are trying to pull the same shit now after already agreeing terms with us. Fucking Rabiot is not valuable enough to have us begging him to come and accommodate every damn whim of this diva. FC Barcelona being Rabiot's bitch. Do you like the sound of that?

As for Ramsey and Juventus making him the second most best paid player then the joke's on them. Ramsey is not worth that much. However, they don't have nearly the same quality as us tho. It's one thing to say to Can, Khedira or Betancourt: "look, this motherfucker gonna earn more than you what you going to do about it?" and it's another thing to say to Busquets or Rakitic the same shit. Those guys are squad players at best and have been for their whole career while the likes of Busi have been cornerstones in our team for over 10 years playing at world class level.

Another thing, it's all relative. We already have a bloated wage structure. There's no need to add to that for a squad player like Rabiot while Juventus has more room/flexibility to juggle with their players salaries.

Anyway, let's see what wage offers are the likes of Bayern and Manchester United gonna throw at him, because until now the official ones are from us and Tottenham only.

Doesn't make any difference most likely, they play different positions, Bayern wasn't competing with us for FDJ anyway, PSG will get a transfer fee for FDJ to help their chances more.
Never mind, this clause thin is 99% not true, as Total-Football explained such clauses can't be legally put in contract as no one can surely decide what is the position the player is used at for sure

I don't understand the Tottenham link. They're very cheap and have a pretty tight wage structure. There's no way they'd be willing to pay him that much.

It would be even more fun (just for the entertainment purpose on barcaforum) if Bayern would sign him and he would become a worldclass player there and put his personal problems behind him while at the same time a can't miss generational talent Frenkie would fail with us.

I agree it's probably bullshit. Nevertheless he (or his mother) could have said that he doesn't want to play as a no.6 and that would also create a problem without any written clause. Regarding PSG, they wont get anything for him since he is the one who will choose the next club and not PSG and I sincerely doubt Bayern would pay more than 10 mil now when they can get him for free in January. Paying those 10 mil also won't make any difference regarding FFP and won't increase PSG chances of getting De Jong.

So that's what you took from that tweet? Nothing about his or his agent's lack of professionalism?

How about another bit of information for you:

If that's true get him to fuck

No player should have guarantees on where they play in the team
