Rafinha Alcantara

To me it seems like he could turn into Sergi Roberto level player with the confidence he's getting. Just gotta give him minutes enough and find a position that suits him the best

I would easily put Rafinha over Roberto when both are on their best form. Rafinha has a Neymar light feel to his flair when going past opponents. He is in terrific form ATM and should stay as a quality depth player. If he continues his upward-spiraling display of football he could even push for a starting role in midfield. He is that good, IMO.

He is a heck of lot faster than Vermaelen, who along with being injury prone is I guess our #2 LB at the moment.

So it could well be Rafinha could become our second best left back relatively quickly. And if it stuck, he could extend Alba's shelf-life there.

Ashley Young extended his time for MU and England making this transition, and Sergi broke into Barca by converting on the other side, so why not.

Where do you see him play? I think he doesn't have a position in our usual 4-3-3 setup. Might even be the best on the wing cutting inside.

He will probably play a bit going into the season, then have a two meh performances in a row with a few important mistakes, then get put in the freezer by Valverde while he thaws up Denis for service. Rinse and repeat.
