Ancelotti just became the new Napoli manager a few days ago, haven't you heard??? Let's hope they don't snap up Sarri actually.

I have been so out of football these days so no, I didn't know that.

Yeah, them getting Sarri would be terrible for us.

Well that's terrible news, if Madrid hire someone like Conte we aren't winning the league anytime soon.

Zidane is a brilliant coach but it's clear he isn't that good at organizing a defence and more often than not the defence wins you titles. We'll finish trophyless next season if Conte or Poch go to Madrid as their performances in the league will surely improve and we're not good enough to win the CL.

Don't think Poch is going anywhere, he just signed a new 5-year contract, extended with Tottenham a few days ago. Conte might be the one though, considering Sarri is a hot favourite to take over Chelsea. There's always Wenger too...:p

Poch despises Barca and he said he would love to coach Real Madrid.

I don't think he was that good, Madrid fans complained about his tactics all the time, but very smart for him to step down at this moment, many will remember him as some goat manager.

They can take La liga, even though I doubt it.
At least they won't be winning CLs anytime soon.

This is a huge blow for them :barcascarf:

guess he realized luck won't follow him around forever so he decided to back up and step down as a winner while he's on the top, securing himself mythological and legendery status in the process
this is bad news for us,whoever they bring will definitely have more skill and knowledge than him, next year they might even be favourites for league title

I don't think that it is about luck.
It is about cycles.
In modern era, no coach was able to keep players motivated for longer than 3-4 years.
You come, you win, you move on.

if they get sarri as manager i might as well kill myself

Wait, you are scared of a manager who coached: Pescara, Arezzo, Avellino, Verona, Perugia, Allesandria, Empoli and Napoli?
Never won anything, never coached superstar players, isn't a club's legend, doesn't have club's DNA etc?
His only virtue is: playing beautiful possession football

I would be the happiest person in the world if they actually hire Sarri and if they move from their lethal direct, multidimensional football to a good, old possession football.
At least they 99% surely won't win a CL with that style...

This is the same thing as when Sampaoli was the best thing since sliced bread just because he played a nice possession football for the first 4 Months of a season with Sevilla.
Hiring Sarri for Real is the same as when we expect that Dembele and Arthur will lead us to a glory, right away.

He saw his luck was running out, he was like no way I can do this again it was too close this year.

But he did a great job at Madrid & it's the perfect time to step aside.

BBZ, sometimes I seriously wonder why you are not a Real Madrid or Bayern fan. You must have hated Guardiola and his football so much. Are you just barely clinging on out there these days (or years)?

The problem is that if they take la liga we have to win the CL or we'll finish trophyless.

I prefer watching Madrid win the CL and Barca the league than watching Barca finish the season with 0 trophies.

It's not good news for Real Madrid at all.

No matter who comes in for them will be against expectations that are nearly impossible to live up to. This is the same situation as Pep leaving us.

Impossible to replace and transition will be difficult.

Yeah, he was a good motivator, had the respect of the squad and just kept things simple. Tactically wise he was way off. I mean you'd lose count how many times his team was outplayed by others. He did get the result at the end which counted.

Dont be silly, you practically own the copa, so you will never be trophyless.
I would rather take the CL than the league, so this is a blow, especially as next season the final will be on Atleticos stadium.
Was hoping Zidane would go for one last season to make it there, then resign.
