Allegri did a mistake at 3-0 by parking the bus I think. Should have went all in to get ahead in the tie. Otherwise he was perfect. The pen was generous for sure, but it's not that Madrid has been threatened after the 3-0 goal. Madrid's goal was coming and Juve held on for dear life for as long as they could.

allegri is a tactical monster based on tonight's showing. he's dominated bayern at the allianz, real at the bernabeu, and completely shut us out in the QFs last season. IMO his only fatal mistake thus far has been the 2 man midfield in the 2017 final. we should try to lure him away if possible and of course provide him with a competent midfield.

Could be worth a look. The last time we had an Italian manage was Sandro Puppo for a single season in 1954/1955. Long time ago.

I care about the Copa del Rey personally but I understand your point. Frankly, I'm surprised there are Real Madrid fans on a Barcelona forum. I would never be interested in spending time on a Real Madrid forum with their supporters.

Very much so. Last year's disappointing season left the Copa del Rey win as one of the only bright spots (Messi scoring in Madrid with 30 seconds left was the other one).

Actually the Copa is much more important than that. It's the one competition we outnumber Real Madrid in. 29 to 19 currently.

Final not been yet and I would doubt any of the first team players have played in all 6 matches.

Real have not being going out first round every year either and not been much more than a couple extra games for starters at times.

They dont give up on the Copa.

Yes Real Madrid doesn't give up on the copa but I am thinking Copa simply is not as important as the league and the CL. Especially for us, an aging squad with shallow bench that does not rotate much, playing in all three competitions is bound to get us fatigued during the crunch time (April).
