As I said before, Juve had the edge in term of motivation against us in this game! Just look at the movement, the intensity and how they were covering for each other in defense when we attacked, it was crazy, like they were fighting for their very lives! I think some of our players were scared and pissing their pants seeing this! Had we been lost to them in the final in Berlin, I believe the result d have been much different n we wouldn't have come out of this leg with anything less than a draw probably! Lucho did nothing to motivate his players, if it had been Simeone, even knowing how bad the current squad are except MSN, this kind of loss with such a deficit would have never happened! IMHO, motivation plays big part in a football game!

Sergi Roberto, it's your turn now.

Seriously, I think it's over here. The wonder happened once, but I'm not sure if it will happen a second time again. Juve and the other top teams are more consistent this season.
However, I expect Barca on fire for the second leg.

I really don't understand why some fans would not want their team to make it to the next round.

You guys act as if this Barca team is useless. Did you guys not have the most spectacular comeback just a while ago?

Honestly, as a fan I always want my team to win. I honestly feel dumbfounded by some of the responses here.

The second leg at Camp Nou will be a 90 mins of torture for me cuz I know it's impossible for the PSG kinda comeback to happen playing against Juve but I still ....hope! Hoping when things r hopeless is one of the most painful things in life :(
Anyway, I expect the players to enter the field n fight their hearts out, put on a Barca level performance, not the pathetic one like last night!

Look at Rakitic`s position. My head hurts when I see this.

Enrique is absolute horseshit of a coach. We should`ve got rid of him in the middle of the season, maybe we would salvage something. Now we are stuck with this useless idiot and out of practically every competition.

The players are to blame too. What a shit show they`ve put on yesterday.

The crowd needs to tell them what they deserve at the next home game.

A weird thing is happening this season: Barca playing at home and Barca playing away are like 2 totally different teams.

As i said in some other thread, the size of the pitch might be a reason, even during our flyest days we suffered in small pitches.

There is a reason why we play very comfortably at the bernabeu because it's the closest thing to our pitch in term of width and lenght.

And, those numbers in the internet are not official and i'm 100 % are inaccurate, as many players (opponents) have often times spoke about how big is the camp nou (playing surface)

All feelings settled up, sad to say, this team, in this form and with this coach was wainting this to happen... It was just inevitably. I hope in summer there will be a big sale and some smart shopping. But last summer transfers say different... copa del rey is a small comfort for such a team. I just hope Messi doesn't leave now...

This wasn't like the PSG match. We weren't completely dominated in this match.

Barça (read Messi) actually created some really good chances and if we had scored even one of them it would have been a different story going into the second leg.

On the other hand, Juve was extremely clinical. Impressive stuff by Dybala especially.

I'm still hopeful because our record at home in UCL this season is remarkable. We have managed to score atleast 4 goals in every game..

7-0 against Celtic
4-0 against Man City
4-0 against Borussia Monchengladbach
6-1 against PSG

We are a different beast at home.. Recent example is Sevilla.. We absolutely trashed them.. With some luck in our favor, we can beat Juventus..

I'll tell you why.

Because if we win it will just paper over the cracks. Our club is too complacent and unless we hit rock bottom they will do nothing.

It's not just motivation, it's also tactics. Juventus are better prepared, better managed. In short, they are more of a team than us.

I agree.
Tactically we are amateurs, really AMATEURS, I can not believe it! Even the commentators are shocked, surprised how naive we are. Like a fucking second devision team !
How to mark the opponent, how to anticipate, how to read the movements, tackles, recover the ball,.... we have no idea.
Aerials duel........ we are ridiculus. In attack Ney and Messi are too small, midfield Iniesta it too small and physicalliy too light, Busi is tall but physically too light, Rakitic is a quiet good header, Gomes is tall but very bad header ....if the defence try a long ball, 98% of the time is lost.
Umtiti-Neymar-Iniesta.... Umititi. How often do we see in these 4 fucking passages, absolutely useless ? we are so predictable and boring !
I could go on, but I'm fed up. Is Lucho job to see these and other problems that even a blind man would see.

I think we didnt even play THAT bad, but individual errors plus lack of luck costed us this tie.
We deserved at leat one goal, which would ave made things really interesting.

I can see us score 4 at camp nou, but at the moment it is impossible for us not to concede.

Lucho played his cards wrong from the start and Juve took full advantage of it. I'm not exactly sure what he intended to achieve with the back 3 but it cost us the tie.

Because our team needs major changes over the summer and progressing against Juventus would be like covering a bullet wound with a band-aid. Why shouldn't we want to progress? Our midfield and defence would get slaughtered going against Bayern in the semis.

Our attacking trio is good enough to carry us to wins in most games and that has made our incompetent coach and sporting director neglect cracks in our midfield and defence that are now turning into fissures. If we did not have MSN quality in our attack we would be Manchester United level this season.

Also our assistant coach, Unzue, is strongly being considered to take over next season where it's quite clear we can't continue using these same ideas. Both Lucho and Unzue need to go and we a brand new approach.
