Honestly, if he had started his career at cb, Mathieue could have been one of the best in the world.

I've said that few days ago,he has the physical tools that is perfect for CB

Love this guy, Love his attitude. For a backup I wouldnt mind having him also next season. He's a very solid CB backup and doesnt mind being the third or fourth option.

I have the feeling he'll be at Barca for some time, probably taking another salary cut. Unless China shows up.
Hard to find 30-something's of his level that are willing to accept the 2nd choice backup role. As long as he doesn't decline too quickly.
