Marco Verratti

So,you dismiss him saying he was always on the level to play on his team for a statement that describes the situation of the player not his level? come on now

And Samper has been having a decent games, but no way he is even close to any of our midfielders, the guy was benched in one of the worst teams in Liga and he just recently was able to regain his starting spot. He is too weak physically and too slow for the DM position he will play here
Palencia will have his chance here or somewhere else to prove the coach wrong but it is very doubtful. Again I see too much Bartra in him unfortunately

Yes, because that was just his excuse to try to save face. One he blew later on, when he said "You know where he was playing, and the level he had". That's more what he actually thought of Verratti back then. He has too much trouble admitting he's ever wrong.

Lucho doesn't care about developing players at Barca or long term Barca future.

Not signing new contract is influenced, along with other reasons, by Barca administration picking younger players last transfer window. No Gameiro or such of Lucho liking for his immediate short-term bang.

Roberto (one Barca youngster in 3 years) got to play only when there was absolutely noone else to put in. So much for his skills of seeing the talent.

RMC reported that Verratti's agent openly said he would not retire at PSG, hinting that he might be ready for a move. So far it is mostly Serie A clubs likes Milan, Inter and Juventus linking to him but Bayern also reportedly showed interest.

What are we waiting for? We should start making some calls. MD and Sport need to put him on their covers. :p

I'm not getting my hopes up. Fact is Verratti will push to leave only if PSG keeps fucking up, which is far from granted, although we'll wreck them in the round of 16.

..And if PSG fucks up, they will be even more adamant about keeping him.

In the long run I'm sure Verratti will leave PSG, for Juve or Barça, but it will happen near the end of his contract, not 4 years before...
Plus Lucho probably doesn't want him, lel.

Reports say that we don't have 2M for Srna currently.

It is hard to imagine that we will splash 60-100M on Verratti (or anyone else) that soon without some massive sales before that.

Just like we didn't have 12m for Nolito last January yet still spent a lot of money this Summer. The board has placed the wage budget under restrictions for the season, which is the reason we cannot add to the wage budget in..... January.

Srna will come when/if Vidal is sold.

The media or the journalists working in other media are either dumb or simply do not care to report about the facts, the entire story. Probably a bit of both.

Remember when the English media said we needed to sell MSN to sign new players? Oh well, turned out we were one of the highest spenders after the Manchester clubs anyway.

We shouldn't have any problems signing players in the Summer Transfer Window. We're afterall going to redevelop our stadium too, so if we were cash strapped, we wouldn't even think about doing that.

Bartomeu and co. knows that even a new shiny stadium would make no difference if the sporting results and aspect of the club starts falling. They'll get booted out and used as an example for a long time.

There is also an option that we didn't actually have money, but we "loaned" the money from a budget for upcoming seasons, with the idea: we will buy some players, go into a debt, but we will win a CL with new players and we will soon neutralize that debt.

The only problem is if we don't win a CL (or whatever objects we have), then we both won't have money currently, and we have already spent majority of money for upcoming seasons.

... it is not as exactly the same story NEVER happened in our club's history or in a history of tons of other clubs.
Some will jump and say: yes, we do have debts, but when RM has debts, then banks and a government help them. Oh well, that's true.
But we still DO have our own debts that came from higher expenses than our actual income.

I personally can't trust too much to a guy (our president) who cheated till now in 1000s of ways on taxes, transfers and everything.
And if we'll do have money in a summer, god knows from where that money is coming from and how high our debt will be in a few years if those "loans" won't result in winning CLs (which, in my opinion=won't. Not with a current rooster, and with current levels of motivation).

On the other hand, if Uefa is corrupted (which they are) and if they'll always allow for top teams with insane debts just to play and compete in a CL forever, then Barto don't have to be afraid.
Someone else will need to solve those debts in 20-50 years when Uefa will be less corrupted.

I am now rambling about too much things, but I just wanted to say: in some normal universe, where you can spend only as much as you are earning, I wouldn't be surprised that we are actually broke currently (Millions thrown through the window on stupid transfers, MSN wages, stadium costs).
But in this corrupted universe (where Uefa is attracting millions of viewers with RM, Barca, Messi, CR7 etc), where big teams can spend as much as they want and more or less never return that money, Barto will find new 50-100 Millions somewhere, regardless of our actual income and again, someone else will eventually have to clean that mess in 2040' or 2050'.

His agent has hinted he is willing to move from PSG. He mentioned Juve and Inter. We know Conte will also try to sign him.

If he's on the move we should be all over it. I don't care if we have too many midfielders. For a player of this calibre, you make room for him.

Hopefully Braida can assist in getting him, apparently he is under some pressure at the moment from the board.
