What a routine display at very difficult venue for us (Sevilla stadium). The only cup, that Lucho lost last year now on the way...!

I said it before and say it again: Barça is one team with Dani Alves and another without him. Dani projection on the right used to push the opposing team back. When the team used to converge to the right, because of Dani, that left Jordi Alba and/or Neymar free on the left (yes, Barça is missing Neymar, as well.) Messi misses his old partner, Alves. it is hard to understand why we let Dani go!!! In addition, what is Sergi Roberto doing? He is playing not to make a mistake. He does not project himself on the right. He gets the ball and gets rid of it, like a hot potato. He is making a very sure pass. However, it does not help the team at all.

I agree.. We gonna miss Dani very much.. I do hope we solve this RB problem next summer.. Roberto is just a short term solution..

We played solid today, 1st half was bad, Sevilla was pressing hard but we managed to defend their attacks.. Then a better performance in the second half, scored 2 goals and made the second match just a formality, I highly doubt we can fuck up 0-2 advantage at home.. Also hope Neymar is back soon.. Perhaps it would be better if Munir started till Neymar is in Rio.. Glad we won the match today.. First trophy of the season coming up soon..

They got tired from pressing and shut down completely in the 2nd half. Very reminiscent of Bilbao against us in recent seasons. The Sevilla fans must be disappointed from what they've seen so far, though it is still very early and it can only get better from here.

Well, Sevilla did play Real for 120 minutes while we joked around with Sampdoria.

Quality came on top in the end and Barca won but I applaud Sevilla fans and Sampaoli balls

It was obvious that Lucho told Sergi Roberto to go up during halftime. However, he did it without the ball. Again, he does not want to make a mistake. Maybe, he can replace Dani, but not with that mentality. I know the position very well. That is what I played all my life in my different organized leagues. Obviously, they were not at the pro level - not even close. I do know what the Right Back is thinking. Dani is an exceptional Right Back for the Barça style of play.

I was very impressed with Digne, though. Dennis Suarez started on fire when he replaced Iniesta and then? Was he abducted by aliens? He just disappeared. One thing to keep in mind is that Sevilla missed Escudero, after he left the game due to an injury. IMHO, he was the best player on the pitch until then.

It was Alves who wanted to leave.

Nonsense. Alves was never appreciated specially by Luis Enrique. He just got fed up. Why would he want to leave when Messi was not only his partner on the pitch, but also his best friend off the pith. Barça did not want to pay Alves what Juventus did.

They got so quickly out of steam thanks to their Supercup final against Mierda and ofc to their strong pressing from the first half.

Sampaoli will find difficulties to adapt in Spain! Coaching a team from the best league in Europe is much harder than managing Chile. ;)

Kudo's to those genius brains who are expecting 24 year old Sergi to play like Dani who was a well oiled engine with year's of experience
