Yeah but like I said in the Messi thread, it's all down to fitness. Dani's been playing non stop, we haven't had Vidal or Roberto there in quite a while. Only some brief subs like tonight.

He was absolutely outstanding against Arsenal, our MOTM that night, because we had Vidal constantly playing too. Fitness won it for us last year and we've totally neglected it.

He is almost 33 ,He has played a lot . playing for Brazil with all the travel didn't help
As Jamie Cal said ,it is all about fitness .fatigued players are always bad no matter how good they are

I like to criticize Dani but in the last games against Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atletico it were others who made crucial mistakes that directly led to goals. He is having a mediocre season but it is not as bad as some in here think.

Why should he be? Do you guys not see that we're out because of a lack of fitness, caused by a lack of depth? He's been largely good for us this season, but he's 33, there's way too many games for him to sustain great form. Like I said, watch the Arsenal game, while the front 3 were pissing around, Dani (+ Busi & Rak) were brilliant.

We need a proper squad. I'm fine with the argument of him being a backup/rotation option, but he should stay for another year. To be logical about it, we don't have the money to buy another right back and need to spend in other places first -- left back, center back, and up front.

Embarrassing.

He goes and complains about media and fans not respecting him and then pulls shit like this after a horrendous performance and CL elimination.

Please don't cry next time you get grilled.

Iniesta crying in the bus, and here's Alves' reaction after yesterday's match

Enough

People with different attitudes, you can't have some people in a society that all would act same, though we all know what Alves' personality is.
Anyway we all know he's one of barca legends ( and the best RB of barca history ) and it's because of what he has shown in the pitch through these years , not his reactions off the pitch.

That's the first time he's disrespecting the club and the fans. You can't do that, not the day after such a poor performance in a Champions League quarters. Not after 3 losses in the last 4 games.

Alves has been always a fighter who gave it all on the pitch .his action outside it might irritate some fans as he is the kind of guy who live his own way and doesn't give a shit of what others think about him .but on the pitch he always gave it all and it is sad to question that
We should stick to the plan and keep him one more year and then he can go to China . But his role should be reduced .No more 2 games per week .and hopefully he should do himself a favour and retire from NT after Copa . he need to be a well rested player
He is playing in a position that need ton of running .and he is old .over playing him should never be an option

Embarrassing post from him on instagram. I'm all for accepting defeat and moving on but this is just shameful.
