The official shop at Camp Nou sells Arsenal shirts, it wouldn't sell Liverpool strips because they're manufactured by Adidas.

I was in Spain twice recently and I didn't see a single Arsenal or Liverpool strip, yet I saw a couple of Celtic tops being worn and bizarrely, a Spanish kid walking around with a Rangers top that had "Thomson" on the back. Also, the official Barcelona shop in the stadium sold Celtic strips; no Arsenal or Liverpool strips were to be seen.

Well I go to Spain quite regularly and I have never seen a Celtic or Rangers shirt. I have however seen plenty of United and Arsenal shirts.
I can't recall ever seeing a Liverpool shirt but there is bound to be some considering how many spanish players play for them.

when i was in portugal in 2004, me and my dad somehow managed to get tickets for the euro 2004 semi final (portugal v holland) as soon as we got in the stadium (jose alvalade) we saw a celtic top about 15 rows down from us and across the fence, we shouted "hail hail" adn he turned around, came up beside us at the other end of the fence and started talking with us about celtic then went back to his seat. then i turned around and looked up at the back of the stand and there was another celtic fan standing up their and i gave him a wave.

plenty of celtic and rangers fans on foreign places. we saw another family of rangers fans at busch gardens in florida last october and no english fans. there was an english couple at the same hotel as us but i dont know if they followed football or not. my point is that celtic, rangers, man utd and liverpool are the biggest football clubs in britain, its just a pity the scottish clubs have different resources from the english

How can you even imply that there are as many Celtic and Rangers fans abroad as Arsenal, Liverpool or United.

You are really quite deluded.

maybe not but we are defenitley more loyal cos we pay premier league prices to watch league 1/2 football and no premier league teams fans would do that and you know it

The fact is that Arsenal, Liverpool & United have (at least) 10 times the fanbase Celtic or Rangers.

thats not true, simple as that

celtic and rangers have a lot of (real) fans abroad, nearly or maybe even as much as the clubs mentioned above.

did you just make a tit of yourself again?

oh rly?

exactly m8, wht english teams fans would pay 30+ pounds to watch dire football against the likes of hamilton and killie week in, week out. they would just lose interest but you will find more passionate real football fans in scotland

You're the one making a tit out of yourself.

Well this is news to me. For sure, Arsenal have a lot more money from Sky Television, but come on, don't be silly. There's no way they have anywhere near the same fanbase as Celtic. Celtic represent, like Barcelona, a repressed minority in a country which has passionate (religious and national) connections all over the world. Because of that, it would be almost impossible for arsenal to be as big: Arsenal don't represent anything outside of football. I honestly think it would be more accurate to say that Celtic's fanbase is ten times the size of Arsenal's.

The only team that I think has the same level of affection worldwide as Celtic in Britain is Manchester United. I would say Arsenal and Liverpool are behind them. As for Man City, well...

Arsenal, Liverpool & United (Chelsea too to a lesser extent obv) have fans all over the world. Including Africa, which has about 700 million people. Many of whom are football mad. Do you really think there are many Celtic fans there?.... Nope, as the majority of Celtic fans abroad are expats who've moved elsewhere.

They choose a team who they can easily follow and watch on TV. Which are teams from the Premier League & La Liga as they are obv the two most popular leagues. They are going to choose a team that they like to watch, which is most likely going to be one of the top teams (the sky 4).
The same can be said for Asia too. Which has around 4 billion people.

Oh and Celtic has the same "affection" worldwide as United ? More than Liverpool and Arsenal?
They don't even watch the SPL over there and the majority of them are just armchair fans who just watch their team and are oblivious to anything other than La Liga or the PL.

Just for you all to notice.....I don't know how things in europe, but in here, definitely big boys of epl have more fans than "the old firm". Before nakamura around, many don't know or simply don't wanna know about spl. In here, even before epl turn global, when it still named by "first division" there were already plenty of man utd, arsenal, liverpool (especially liverpool), and or chelsea. Well, maybe at that time, hotspurs was way hotter than chelsea because of lineker and gazza. I also think it was the same in africa. At least, when they were not at war with their fellow countrymen.

Totally wrong. To claim that Celtic have a bigger fanbase than Arsenal and that their level of affection worldwide is bigger than theirs and Liverpools is absurd.
