Koke

I'm sure he's clever enough to realise that he can't play the same way here than he does at atletico, he is a pragmatist and football genius who would pick the best way to play for us if that did happen (he won't come here probably and this is completely hypothetical). Though it's true he does prefer that more physical style.

Also who says that defending and playing physical football is "winning" football but posession isn't? We are just not executing it well at all... Any way of playung played well will win games.

If you can pull off the attacking style with the high line it is a winning style, yes.

It's just not playing the percentages in the long term. That style requires immense fitness and the perfect conditions otherwise it can look terrible.

If you are (as a coach) chiefly concerned with defensive security (Mourinho, Simeone) then you can accommodate poor performances of individuals

He's a great player alright, and I've tried to imagine him succeeding Xavi at Barca, but I couldn't. I still think he doesn't have the right tools to play in that position for us, and I still think players like Gündogan or Pjanic would be better suited. Would have been interesting to see him at Barca, but for 50 million or even more, I'm not disappointed we didn't get him.

Out for few weeks. Saul did a great job replacing him

He did an amazing job tbh especially with him and Koke not really playing the same role, technically speaking

Atleti's got a great future as long as they hold on to Simeone, Koke, Gimenez, Oliver Torres, Griez and Saul

Rumour of us wanting Koke won't go away. They were flying around last year when we signed Costa and Luis, but they are stronger now and suggestions are we'll give them back Luis plus cash. He's definitely a Mourinho player on the field, and I'd welcome him with open arms, especially as he's rather versatile as well. Hell, I'd maybe even give Ramires, Luis AND money for him. I used to love Ramires but he hasn't really cut it since Mou came back, which surprised me because he's a very Mou player too.

Why the hell would Atlético be interested in a 30 year old Filipe Luís way past his best and an average footballer like Ramires? As if those two AND money would be a surprising move.

I am pretty sure that Koke has no intentions of moving to Chelski nor is Atlético likely to sell any players to Chelski.

I wouldn't imagine it'd happen, he's an Atletico boy but stranger things have occured. Even if it didn't I'd be fine with it as Atletico are my La Liga team and I'd like for them to continue competing at a high level. They won't get anywhere selling their best guys. I reckon Mou will try though. Luis isn't way past his best, Dave is just better which is why he was always on the bench.

When will Mou's erection for Atletico end?

For a man who constantly says that EPL is so hard to win (yeah right) he seems to have a remarkable fascination with La Liga players.

Well it just so happens the players he gets from La Liga are suitable for the team. Luis is a good LB but wasn't good enough to displace Dave, Costa doesn't need to be explained in any way, shape or form, and Koke is another very obvious one. Cesc played in the EPL for 8 years, so that explains that. We get linked with players from all different countries, we've been also linked with Icardi, Pogba, Dybala and Lacazatte amongst others, who, SHOCKINGLY, don't play in La Liga. Plus the current crop of English players are generally lame, and the good ones will cost more than say Koke, and are of a lower quality. It also doesn't help that the media are linking us with every 2nd Atletico player, whether we are actually interested or not.

When Atleti stops being a better version of Chelsea.
