I really hope Del Bosque goes back to the double-pivot of Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets. He needs to ditch the 4-3-3 he experimented with last summer.

I really like what I'm seeing out of Azpilicueta for the most part. I was worried about he was going to occupy that RB slot initially but I think Azpilicueta will do a wonderful job in Brazil this summer. I like what I see out of Carvajal at times too.

The only spot I see up for grabs right now is who will be the CM for La Roja. I initially thought it was going to be Thiago when he started his class in Germany before he got injured again but I wonder if Koke is ready for the job.

That's what I don't understand with Spain. Why would a football powerhouse like Spain not have a national stadium like Wembly. France, Germany, England, etc have amazing world class stadium but Spain doesn't have one.

That's why Copa del Rey final have to be played at another Liga club's stadium because they don't have a stadium like Wembly.

Is the Maracanã not Brazil's national stadium?

No. It belongs to the state of rio de janeiro, and I never heard of if being the nt's official stadium. Usually flamengo and fluminense use the stadium for their home games.

Spain is a highly political place.

tbh, for me it's national stadiums that don't make sense, especially in nations with successful clubs and several worthy stadiums to choose from. i also like it when the national team "travels" around, so that nearly everyone can support them once in a while from next to their home town.

I agree, why build a national stadium when you have such great stadiums already. They are a waste of money and not fair on those who live outside the capital. Why should a fan from Valencia have to travel the whole way to Madrid to see his country play? Spain have got it right, put the money into developing great players and coaches.

Why would a national team need a stadium in the first place...
