Thierry Henry was a demon from free kicks at Arsenal but since he turned up at Camp Nou he's stopped taking them. WHY?

Because Ronaldinho took 'em last year, and Messi's taking them this year.

(so #10 has to take them i guess :p )

Alves also had great close range attempt against Sevilla, Palop made excellent intervention to save it.

Márquez anyone ? :p I know scoring 1 goal doesn't make you a free kick specialist or anything .. but whenever he takes them they are very close, and he won the Free Kick masters 08 .. so I'm guessing he has some skill ..

Dude I think everyone, including Marquez, sucked in Free Kick Masters. It looked like such a failure of a competition to me.

Dinho sucked the most, everything hit the wall for him. I thought Márquez was OK, he´s no Juninho, but atleast he got some in. Messi´s shots were extremley close as well.

Long-rang: Daniel Alves
on the right side(where leftys are good in): Messi
Just out of the box: Alves or Messi
On the Left(where right legers are good in): Henry or Marquez

The reason I put Henry is in arsenal he was lethal at free kicks and in barca he just didnt get a chance to shoot one.

Last season he took one that was a good one but VDS saved

This season he took one against Espanyol which hit the bar and went over

2 free kicks in 2 seasons are not enough

How come so many are mentioning Messi when he's only scored one freekick for Barca, and it was an open net. Any area that isn't a left footed player's territory, I would pick Xavi definitely.

It's weird how after Dinho and Deco left our freekick abilities have reduced significantly. Hope someone really steps up in this area. Dani and Xavi are the top choices as of now. Messi has many years to improve in this as well, hope he does cos it'll really add to his game.

There was an adidas advert where messi scored a really nice freekick. However i have no idea how many takes it was in so it doesnt help much!

I think xavi and alves are the best for freekicks. Rafa always has it in him but he isnt consistent enough for him to be a regular taker. Not to mention he will always go for goal..he wont chip it into the box like alves or xavi would do at times.

Hm....this is hard question anyone isn't much better than the other...I would like to see Henry to take free kicks...Marquez has scored a nice goal from free kick this season but he needs many shots to score one goal. Same goes for Xavi and Alves...Maybe it would be good to cross sometimes, we have Piquee, Busquets, Toure and Marquez. They can score easily after a good cross.
