Does Aguero have enought pace? I don't really see him or Suarez offering more than Villa does. Neymar if you want more of a winger, Falcao or Cavani if you want more of a goalscorer.

I'd rather not go on a huge spending spree as we have perfectly capable homegrown talents who are improving each year. Although if I had to pick one it would be Aguero.

Your wrong. The policy is to mix youth talents with one or two big signings for the very reason that "home grown" talents alone won't cut it. The club (Pep as well) love to promoted from within' but are under no illusions of the limits of an only "home grown" squad.

I never said "only" home grown. I just don't think that we have a lack of capable forwards in the long term. We aren't gonna buy a 60 million euro striker just because of this bad run in form now are we? That one big signing should be turned into a couple of cheaper, shrewder signings especially in the CB and GK area. I'd like to see one stable CB, one more flexible and versatile CB (meaning able to play as DM or LB/RB), and a young goalkeeper whom we can mold into our style. Notice I never said any of these signings have to be unbelievably expensive or unrealistic. 50 million is enough to buy 2-3 actually useful players rather than flashy forwards we would want to see at Barcelona just because they are entertaining and great players. Those are more fantasy signings than actual overall productive ones that help the club. The purpose of signing players is to fill the gaps that we have in the squad. Our form crisis right now does not mean we are at a lack of forwards and looking to the future, we have plenty of capable players.

Oh, I see what you mean.

Yes, I agree. I'm always for being creative in signing players rather than spending 60 million on one player unless that player is a world beater like Messi and the club has reinforced other areas.

With that said, a striker that can beat his man is key because Masia grads will have trouble in that regard. As well of course, as a CB or two, and a GK.

KUN AGUERO hands down with all respect to the other options. Aguero and Neymar are most suitable to our game but Aguero is :

1. Cheaper
2. tested
3. Experienced
4. In harmony with Messi on a personal and professional level
5. Messi will be happier getting a chance to practice daily with Kun before the WC.
6. We'll see more of Maradona in Barcelona. Always fun to follow his news.

we can get falcao but if we don't switch up the tactics when facing defensive sides, it will be a pointless waste of money. that said, it looks like neymar will be coming this summer. i would love it if we could keep villa and go with a neymar-villa-messi for defensive sides and tello-messi-neymar for open matches.

I voted for Cavani because despite his size is really mobile. He has one of the best headers in the world and is good in build up too. Would love to see a cross in the box option with him.

THIS MUST be the reason we buy Cavani! The good teams have worked out how to shut us out.
We need a big, mobile header of the ball CF for wingers to get crosses into.
Messi should be playing wide right with Cuenca/tello wide left - and swapping over - in order to get crosses in. Messi could also play off Cavani in a withdrawn second striker role and pick up the second ball; why cant we try a 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1-1) as another option?
A really good team would have a back up tactic for when Plan A is not working!

Falcao imo ! He's just the best centre forward with Ibra ... Aguero's not yet at his level and Falcao likes Messi (even if Aguero too lol)... If we can take Falcao & Neymar it will be amazing : Neymar - Aguero - Messi
