Trent Alexander-Arnold

Madrid's defense for next season is now

Trent (can't defend) - Rudiger (likely finished physically) - Asencio (academy kid, needs a lot of developement) - Mendy (brainless)

Sorry guys, it will take a few signings more to have me concerned. And even then I have full faith in Flick and his system.

If they don't buy a LB and a CB they will suffer on that side indeed. But TAA is a step in the right direction. They needed 3 players in that line and one is already addressed.
Real is most likely planning on creation from fullbacks, rather than midfield. In a way, TAA is a Kroos replacement.

We have a good amount of defenders in our chambers.

Jofre/Uduro Cuenca Kospo Landry/Espart
Possibly Mbake (not sure how his development is) all those above look solid especially Landry and Cuenca.

Prospects are just prospects until they are tested in the first team.
Oduro is likely on his way out after an underwhelming year, Torrents had torn acl then got hamstring injury, we need to ensure he gets healthy before counting on him on first team. Landry and Espart has potential but a bit underwhelming. Cuence is very limited physically too, Kospo still has long learning curve.

We will be lucky if couple of those succeeds, but it won't be the end of the world if none makes it here.

Point is, don't count on a young player before he proves it. Football is a very dynamic sport with small cycles.

Benefit for Madrid is that their cl succes have them above other clubs in players mind. Add in a lot of individualistic narcisistic cr7 fanboys who are now grown adults that been praised their whole life have Madrid as their dream club.

Trents dreams of winning the ballon d'or (which he wont) is above being a liverpool legend and captain despite being from there.

Madrid and barca partially are the only clubs that have that pull. This allows madrid that run out your contract type sneaky bayern tactics.
They will do this with Saliba as well.

im not to worried about trent. He is a defensive liability anyway. He is no Cafu or Alves

This dude is going to get whistled hard by the RM fans
Will take him a month to realise that the grass isn't always greener.

Fuck him. If he wanted to shag Bellingham so bad, he should have convinced him to join us.

Will only take one defensive mistake before the entitled Madridiots turn on him.

We'll finally get a defender that can actually defend.

Enjoy Santiago Bernabooooo.

He will do well for them under Xabi, actually a very good signing in that sense and Xabi's. 3421 might reduce the need for a kroos type player.

.....Asencio Rudiger Militao

Trent Valverde Tchoua Garcia(grimaldo? Lol)

............... Bellingham Vini

......................Mbappe.

That is already an improvement in structure compared to what they have now assuming Militao will come back and be good, but if not they need a replacement.

In a perfect world you would sell Vini and play Mbappe in that role, but it's not going to happen.

The question is do they play Tchoua are go for someone like a zubi, not him specifically but a similar type player, but correct me if I'm wrong, Xabi doesn't have that profile of player in his current team.

They could also sign another wing back and play Trent in midfield since that's where he plays a lot these days.

Point is I think Trent is actually a very smart signing for them, given there new coach.

1 signing play a change in system and they will have adjusted for the 12 points they dropped this season compared to last, which means we will also have to get much better.

Remember what Colonel Jessep said?

Enjoy the faggoty white uniform, Trent.

Can't wait to see Raphinha roast him. Wish Yamal was a left winger.

La Liga is less physical, slower and more technical. On paper it should fit Trent better than the Prem.

Madrid will need to buy a tall forward or a part of Trent’s best attributes will be irrelevant.

Can’t see him surviving at wingback for long, he’s mega slow and his tracking of players is non existent. At RB he has the time he needs to deliver the great passes he’s capable of.

Bellingham will be crashing the box for his crosses.

Will he interesting to see what they do with Dani.C who will think he has at least another year or two in him as a starter and wants to go out on a high.

Taller forward would also benefit Mbappe too. Always played his best playing off of one, e.g Giroud, Cavani etc.

Be interesting to see what they do in the summer in terms of a rebuild.
