Why do our players look so much more lively, motivated and sharp in a friendly for Spain than they do for Barcelona.

Thiago fitting in like a glove, even Costa linking up fairly well with Iniesta when he gets the ball. Thiago and Iniesta is such a good MF pairing, both marauding everywhere and have very slick turns/passing. Cesc seems like an unecessary addition for this lineup today as there's less width to penetrate with him on.

honestly i wouldn't mind if martinez started, though pique is a more natural centreback.

i wasn't sure of spain's chances for brazil, but seeing how they play here, and counting on xavi being big time as he always is in the most important matches, and the addition of costa, i find it hard to look past spain as the favorites.

not intentionally bashing Cesc, but there's an overcrowding in the middle with him on right now. Also I agree with cule4life, we could use a chat for a game like this if possible.
