I figure USA will get it to basically promote the wc in 2 years.
Messi ends his contract with psg at 37 in 2024. He can continue another year or play that copa america and then afterwards join newells or say inter miami.
It looks like he will intent to play copa anerica, why not? Its only 1,5 years.
After that he can easily still play for fun in weak leagues.
I hope he doesnt play the world cup 2026 from the bench or something.
Just retire after the copa america or at another point.
He could retire internationally right now and be perfect but I think he wants to lap up the adoration he will get and playing without that weight that been on his shoukders since the beginning.

I was thinking of top defenders and specifically the Gvardiol example.
He definitely upped his nutrition/training/x to peak at this world cup. And it showed.
