Sandro Tonali

I doubt Tonali would reject the chance to join us or Real Madrid if we were interested due to some perceived loyalty to Newcastle. He's not from the area, he's not even English.

But Newcastle would make it difficult to sign him and I don't think he's a priority for us or even Madrid.

A player like him should definitely be a priority for Madrid.

I wonder who they are looking at to play that roll

Another one that looks better when given more freedom to move about.

Good player though.

Doesnt really play like some deep ball recyclyer that likes of Real seem to need.. maybe could though.

I don't think they're looking at anyone
Zubimendi is the one they're reportedly interested in, but a new manager like Xabi might change some of their plans.

Perez has gone full galactico mode, a player like tonali/zubi should be #1 in his list regardless of who is the manager.

But good for us.

Tonali is not sitting dictating the game for Newcastle. They dont really play like that.

He is a good player but he really is not doing huge amounts on ball for them to point looks like missing piece for Real.

Could he play that role? Maybe but to what level would need to see.

A Zubimemdi to Madrid would be a good piece of business. He is a very good organiser/centrocampista from his matches that I have watched.. Madrid lacked such a player after Kroos left.

The challenge may be that he is somewhat slower and prefers building with short passes which may contrast the pacy tempo/counter attacking approach Madrid seem to have adopted this season to accommodate the speedsters in their attack

Calma!! Read other attachments.

His agent is already "hawking" him to Italian clubs according to insider sources.
When players come openly to express their feelings openly but close their remarks with their loyalty to current clubs, it could only mean one thing, from experience.
I am not saying this will happen but he has clearly said he prefers to go back to Milan if he were to leave Newcastle which was my initial post

AC Milan couldn't afford to buy him back. Maybe in a few years time when his contract is closer to expiring and he's considerably cheaper. No Italian club could afford to buy him, regardless of everything else.

Also, Italian sources always link Italian players playing abroad with their own clubs. Some other sources latch on to those. That's nothing new at all.

He has expressed going back to Milan as his top preference if he were to leave Newcastle and not any other club. Which was my point. Simple.

Well that's fair enough. My point was that it's not going to be anytime soon. Even if he was desperately tempted to go back to Italy, Newcastle would price him out of a move. They would want double what they paid AC Milan, and then some on top of that. Pretty sure he will be there next season at the absolute minimum.
