Lol that's just propaganda from MD. Laporta was ruthless and disrespectful with Matheus/Emerson/Pjanic/Moriba this summer so likely what happened is Umtiti actually stood up to him and said no I'm not leaving and now instead of a failure MD is painting it as Laporta gave Umtiti a second chance.
