If he can't make it by the Lyon tie he should just have the surgery and then use that time off to go hardcore with PED's and experimental recovery substances. I'd rather have fully fit Umtiti next season than crippled ghost of Umtiti for a couple of games this season and then more long term issues after that.

Thank God the club are sensible and have patience unlike some forum members
Peak Umtiti is worth waiting and investing in.

The two issues which aggravated his injury were playing in the world cup and immediately being thrown into the deep end against AM. First one was Umtiti's fault, the second Valverde's.
I still believe he can become the player he was but it will take a while. You can write this season off and maybe the beginning of next season too.

I can see a fully fit Umtiti in October this year.

A couple of weeks ago Catalan Journalists were talking about Umtiti targeting an early February return.

Things have been pretty quiet on Umtiti for the most part. Just hope he can come back without many problems.
