If not for his torn ACL he would have probably signed for Porto, Benfica, Dortmund or Lille last summer and be hyped up as a 30m+ signing at least for this year.

He's a talented player and he was being mentioned as a possible top talent 2-3 years ago like when he scored the winner vs. Man Utd in the CL for FCK.

We'll see if his long-term future is at Barca, but people going crazy over a 2m signing calling it for money laundering was funny.

Here's his performance in limited mins vs. Man Utd. Maybe not spectacular, but the talent is obvious.

I hate to break it to anybody but Toni Fernandez isn't that great. Roony reminds me of Trincao mixed with Achomach I don't know if he will make it long term here but there is something there that will have him on a decent club in La Liga at worst

The closest player in the first team to Toni is Fermin. Fermin has improved immensely since joining the first team, but on a talent level, Toni can and should achieve to be a better version of him.

Even if Roony levels out to not be Barca quality, hopefully moves like this give us more of a talent shift in our mentality, as we are not a selling club, but we do need to generate sales.

I think that while Flick is here, that our style will be more accessible and abundant for attacking players to achieve stats. So hopefully we can use this period for squad players to come in cheaply, perform to an extent, and then be moved on for 20-30m as any other normal club operates.

He is a win-win Situation. If he performs well…great squat option, maybe shifting to LW or selling him for 30 million.
