Messi would never have looked at his best in a robotic team like Madrid. He is a player of artistry that belonged in a team with far higher ambitions about how to play, than put the ball wide and cross it in the box football.

"Robotic team like Madrid"? What on earth are you talking about?
Madrid have never been robotic. Pep's teams are the most one can get to robotic.
You are confusing disorder, chaos (which has also unpredictability in it) with a much contrasting concept (being robotic)
Some Madrid's players have been very artistic also, like Kroos or Modric or Zidane Figo in the past

It's precisely the opposite: Messi's success in a team that some have characterized as robotic (like Pep's Barca) adds more to his legacy.

5-0, about 3-4 4-0s, many 3-0s, a 6-2, some 5-1s, a 5-2...

We lost count of Barca beatdowns handed to Madrid in the last 15-20 years.

Madrid players being brought to such inferiority feeling and hopelessness that Marcelo, Ramos, Pepe, Isco and some others tried to injure Barca players because they couldn't cope with the humiliation...

You may beat every other team in Europe, but dominating and outplaying Barca was something Madrid couldn't do, ending up being humbled and outclassed many times.

It is what it is. Madrid with titles above all, Barca with the football artistry. There's jelousy on both sides.

Nobody wins the CL like Madrid, and nobody plays football like Barca.

That's hilarious because Pep is very well known for creating the most robotic teams with his insane level of micromanagement.

Pep bought a flair player like Grealish and turned him into a robotic possession recycler. He did the same thing with Mahrez.

He's one of the main reasons why fans complain about modern Football being too robotic, system-based and lacking flair.

Pep gives his players the least amount of tactical freedom.

Ancelotti on the other hand doesn't have well defined patterns of play(that is a flaw/weakness) but gives his attackers a lot of freedom to express themselves.

Zidane, Figo, Carlos, Fat Ronaldo, Alonso, Beckham, Marcelo, Modric, Guti, Ozil, Di Maria, Isco, James, Hazard, etc are definitely "artists".

Says who? Butthurt EPL fans that relized they had no chance to compete against Pep's Barcelona and were outclassed badly when they came out to play... please .

Those stpuid claims were just a coping mechanism triggered by feelings of inferiority. I understood it, it's not easy to be humbled like that...

This has nothing to do with Pep's ability. Think everybody acknowledges Pep as a tactical genius.

However, it's pretty well known that he gives players and "artists" no tactical freedom to express themselves because of his meticulous and obsessive micromanagement. Messi might be the only player he has given some freedom.

Even the legendary Thierry Henry said that Pep used him on the left as a decoy player for the others on the team lmao.

This has nothing to do with coping. I doubt Barcelona player Henry was jealous of Barca and himself winning a treble. Come up with better arguments.

It's a stupid claim to say players like Messi, Alves, Iniesta didn't have freedom. Henry himself said on the record on Sky Sports that the last third was freedom for them and even Pep told them my job is to bring the ball to you in the last 3rd and from there it's the job of the creative forwards to make a difference.

It was an ideal mix of style, tactics, but also creative freedom for the offensive players.

Of course, freedom doesn't mean anyone could just do what they wanted out there. That's called chaos.

The interview you are referring to was Henry bigging up Iniesta.

"Decoy" player for a pale, midget player, who coincidentally is also an all timer.

Think Henry was a bit frustrated at the time that he was a star at Arsenal and touted the best EPL player in history, and yet in that Barca team he was actually not even top 5 in terms of influence in the game.
