Say what you want about la Liga. When the top 3 play each other, you can almost guarantee it's a good game. That says something when the 3rd team is atletico.

Not so much this season but before you would say the top 4 because Villarreal will always give a good account of themselves when facing the top 3 and make it a entertaining game.

When the top 4 plays each other in the EPL,it's a toss up what kind of game you'll get.

Nope. Liverpool-City was a considerably higher quality game than Madrid-Barca.
One team didn't just sit back and let the other team dominate possession. In terms of the actual quality of the game, Liverpool-City of that era is the best league fixture ever. Only the Prime Bayern-Dortmund games come close in terms of pure quality and entertainment factor.

Pep himself would agree. The only time you'll ever see Pep absolutely delighted to get a draw at the end of the game because he was extremely satisfied with the sheer quality of Football played by the 2 teams.

90 minutes of fearless, exciting attacking Football.

Liverpool and City have been top 2 in league twice under Klopp and Pep.. 18/19 for example a 0-0 and 2-1. Hardly howitzers and not even close to quality of Barca and Real teams in past.

Bay far highest quality domestic games were Barca v Real.

Name one game between Liverpool and City that the quality on show was as high as when Barca beat Real 5-0 for example.

This was the best quality of Football and entertainment. That's why Pep named this team and manager as his toughest opponent ever instead of Madrid teams or managers.

Nah. Best players don't necessarily play the best quality of Football as a unit.

2010 treble Inter Milan didn't play the best quality of Football in the world at the time.
