@jamrock Pep abandoned all his core principles gradually.

Last few seasons he played tall CBs as full backs.

Now he has signed a GK who's the exact opposite of a Pep GK.

Also signed the ultimate anti Pep striker a couple of years back while selling the perfect Pep striker to Atleti.

This looks nothing like a Pep team.

Has the game finally evolved past Pep?

Everyone changed their game in some way to either copy him or stop him.

Now he's just doing the same to remain competitive.

He has not abandoned his core principle of possession not only as a means to a end, but a means to defend.

But he's making changes on the edge, that's why he's the GOAT.

he's not doggyly stuck on his principles, see amorim lol

Pep has spoken about how he sees football as having changed and much more about power and ball carriers these days.

Can see it with is wide players and when won CL he wants likes of Silva and previously Grealish to carry ball up park and pull game towards them rather than wingers who go for jugular as much.

Still will have likes of Doku and Savinho but doesnt use them as often or as in same way did in past.

That and he clearly got sick of giving up leads in CL with errors from attacking full backs like Cancelo and then lacking height for balls into box.

They should have went with Xavi before him, now if I was Xavi I'm not touching that, especially mid season.

They should have learnt that their is only one special one that came out of Portugal, everything else is just a cheap knock off.

City looked scary good today. Donnaruma will be a top signing.

At least they could be 8-9 points back by next weekend if Arsenal get a result against them at home.
